Haaland, Aquero & co had no issues in the PL. I used to hear that about foreign managers too, first 4 of Chelseas foreign managers won the PL in their first season . Let's not forget who took Sunderland up in their first season in charge.I see him the same as Bassette. A rough diamond that needs to be polished. It's difficult for a foreign player to slot straight into a Championship side. The Prem is even harder.
