How do you mean see him?

If that's where would we loan him to? I've no idea.

Where do I see him in the squad? He'll probably start the season on the bench and come on at points for Tats.

I wish the lad well but I doubt that he's the next Maddison

It's highly unlikely we produce another Madison anytime soon but that doesn't mean others won't be good enough to play at our current level

Should we have not signed Brau as we already have a full compliment of LBs or is squad size an argument for restricting improvement only an argument at GK?

So 3 left backs and 3 goalkeepers?

I think if there was someone capable of playing in a top end Championship team among our youth players we would already know, and they would probably have smashed a loan in L1.

I don't think that's necessarily true at all. I don't know whether any of them will make it here for sure but some young players can mature quite quickly and respond well when given game time. Andrews is 18 years old and has been in the senior Welsh squad, its quite clear he at least has 'something'.

The point that you so gracefully missed is that we'll move one of our unwanted LBs on just like we would with excess GKs.

Honestly, just a general gut feel and what has gone in the past. I genuinely hope I'm wrong because would love to see young lads come through, would love it. But if you take Rafa for example, how much football has he played? He needs minutes!

How important is it from a homegrown and age bracket,do we have any issues there?

Didn't he make his debut two seasons ago ,albeit a brief substitute but it showed that the managerial staff had faith in him then. And he's had decent loan spells at higher levels than other youths players

I think we need it tbh, so many successful teams seem to be blooding the youth early and getting result's, thinking back to Milne's era and Sexton .

Where are we moving them onto, there doesn't seem to be much focus from our side or any other clubs around these players, maybe it'll come nearer the deadline but we can't just wish players away

He's at a very good point for an 18 year old imo, the most promising player we've had come through for God knows how many years. I hold out a bit of hope for Obikwu too, he looks like he has something a bit different and has that kind of awkward to play against vibe.
No idea about Raphael, he is spoken about well, Lampard doesn't have to mention him at all if he thinks he's shite but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's a big step for him though, i guess he'll either sink or swim at this point.

Wingers are the most substituted position in football due the energy exerted followed by CM then ST - these are the positions that you would typically prioritize 2 per position

Yes a lot of our competitors at Championship level have been way more successful at bringing through youth than us recently. It's really helpful, not least for Kings wallet, if a couple can make it.

He needs to cut out the injuries - albeit he had a car crash last season as well which couldn't be helped - and offer more consistency when on the pitch.

This is an important year for him though. He needs to have a successful season at wherever he ends up if he's to have a future here.

Played some part in 11 out of 17 games he was there. It's not too bad for an 18 year old. Got his first international call up during that time. Seems a successful stint to get a first taste of mens football.

If you are going to have a decent game. Kai picked the right one... albeit it's not the Rangers from the early to mid 90s!

A lower league loan will likely find out his level.

Madison had only made 12 first team appearances at League One level at the same age. Not saying he is as good as Madison. But appearance wise not far apart for his age.

not the point I was making

someone said he was praised highly and he was for that one game then seemed to fall out of favour

Kai Andrews, Team: Motherwell, Age: 18, Country: Wales, Height: 180 cm, Preferred foot: Right, Shirt: 54, Market value: €300K

I can't see WBs on that table.they are not the same as a FB. More likely to cover the ground of a Winger and a FB combined.

Yeah, only seen anything about the one game against Rangers in terms of praise (plus the words Bellamy had to say).
