Would quite like to move on Allen, or even Eccles if the bid was right to allow us to try for something a bit different in midfield, but I'd say it's the area of least concern for me. If it stays as is, with everyone fit, its ok.

Centre back needs an upgrade, I can't see us playing 3 at the back with Grimes in the side and Binks and Lati worry me in a back 4

I agree with you on that. Need to upgrade at least one of Lati/Binks with someone pushing for a start.

Will be underrated but Grimes, Torp and Rudoni is our best midfield.

Also plays to Lampard's more attacking football.

Wilson got the most clean sheets in the league that season. On your rationale you’d be happy him starting in goal, correct?

Ideally with a bit of pace if we are to persist with a high line . Don't think we will get anyone lightning quick but quicker than what we have currently would be a great option

Not sure why anyone would Bench Sheaf

I think Torp will get ahead of Sheaf before too long.
Torp's passing is excellent and when it comes to shooting there's no comparison.
With some one on one mentoring I think he will be first choice.
I'd just like Torp to play a few yards further forward, (without hindering Rudoni if that's possible)

Or goalscoring capability , what is his best return for goals without checking ?
And this isn't an anti Sheaf post , genuine question

For Coventry best season in the League
Sheaf. played 31 goals 3
Torp played 36 goals 6

Wilson starts over Collins every day of the week. Why is that even a discussion?!

He played that role against Sunderland at home and was brilliant

Yes, his passes to Wright were sublime.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Lampard can do with Torp and Rudoni this season.

Was still lacking a bit of physicality for me.
Hopefully a full pre, season with Jones will sort that out.

He is tall and wiry and looks very languid at times , reminds me of Darren Anderton in that respect .
Don't think we will ever see him as hench as Sheaf

I do think Torp will have a great season this year. Rudoni doesn’t actually play as a typical CAM instead going wide to find space. Check out his heat maps. Torp on the other hand likes to stay central which gives our strikers a touch more connection. Torp and Rudoni together would a step by outlet.

I never want to see Collins step foot on the pitch again for us. Sorry but it was embarrassing. Would rather go with Bell if Wilson went down.

My concern is we dont bring another GK in, unless we shift collins, which is going to be very tricky.

If you were management and could control signings. Would you look for a new keeper, or play Wilson with an unknown timeframe for Dovin to get fit

Yes exactly why we need better than Simms or BTA

That's an interesting one, as Simms had a decent return in his first season after a slow start. I also don't think we have seen the best of BTA yet, as he was playing with an injury problem last year.

I have an open mind on them still, without being fully convinced on either. Happy to leave that one to Frank Lampard.

Wilson. Yes he's not the best in the championship but he's experienced. Why would we end up getting another experienced champ keeper who would preferably want to be No1 when Dovins fit?

Ideally as I've already stated this morning would love for Collins to find a club and we sign another goalkeeper but that means somebody actually coming in for Collins which doesn't seem likely

Also Torp and Rudoni are both capable of coming deeper to collect the ball if necessary.

Unless you want to loan an experienced keeper on loan then it's never going to happen.

We could sign a loan keeper for cover, we could sign one on a free short term. I'm starting to believe you are quite simple.
