Not sure why anyone would Bench Sheaf
I think Torp will get ahead of Sheaf before too long.
Torp's passing is excellent and when it comes to shooting there's no comparison.
With some one on one mentoring I think he will be first choice.
I'd just like Torp to play a few yards further forward, (without hindering Rudoni if that's possible)

He played that role against Sunderland at home and was brilliant

Was still lacking a bit of physicality for me.
Hopefully a full pre, season with Jones will sort that out.

I do think Torp will have a great season this year. Rudoni doesn’t actually play as a typical CAM instead going wide to find space. Check out his heat maps. Torp on the other hand likes to stay central which gives our strikers a touch more connection. Torp and Rudoni together would a step by outlet.

Yes exactly why we need better than Simms or BTA

That's an interesting one, as Simms had a decent return in his first season after a slow start. I also don't think we have seen the best of BTA yet, as he was playing with an injury problem last year.

I have an open mind on them still, without being fully convinced on either. Happy to leave that one to Frank Lampard.

His decent run is looking like the exception to the rule

I never want to see Collins step foot on the pitch again for us. Sorry but it was embarrassing. Would rather go with Bell if Wilson went down.

My concern is we dont bring another GK in, unless we shift collins, which is going to be very tricky.
Ideally as I've already stated this morning would love for Collins to find a club and we sign another goalkeeper but that means somebody actually coming in for Collins which doesn't seem likely

Would quite like to move on Allen, or even Eccles if the bid was right to allow us to try for something a bit different in midfield, but I'd say it's the area of least concern for me. If it stays as is, with everyone fit, its ok.

Yeah there is decent cover and flexibility to adapt based on opposition in midfield

The squad overall is top heavy in areas (3 LBs, 4 STs) and light in others (1 RW, 1 RB if MvE goes). Also lacking quality at GK & CB

These are surely the areas of focus for the rest of the window. At a minimum we should be looking at:

- OUT: Bidwell & MvE
- IN: RB

- OUT: BTA/Simms
- IN: RW who can cover both sides

- OUT: Collins
- IN: GK (loan)

One less squad member but much better balance. Can then look at CB/CM if there are funds & we can move on fringe players
