Interesting. Can he play either side? For a team that puts a lot of crosses in, 1.73m striker is interesting

But we don't really put crosses in for the central striker, they're for the wide man or Rudi a lot of the time. If we've got a centre forward who can come and get involved in the game with his back to goal and turn that'd be ideal imo.

However, we can also see that he will spend time in the midfield areas, and it is not uncommon for Bertaccini to drop into pockets in the midfield to help link play.

After your constant criticism of King must be gutting for you that initially the money was found for Grimes and there appears to be intent to spend more. Strange how you never acknowledged this.

After never hearing of him 2 hours ago, I can now safely say he is on course to be the best striker in Europe over the next 3 seasons (unless he goes to Southampton in which case he’s dog shite).

It does beg the question what sort of tactics we would be playing as I assumed we would be going for a ‘target man’ type, which he doesn’t seem to be.

Maybe we will also go for a target man too so we have different options. Not sure if anyone has mentioned Salech yet

Looks like his agent is using 3 championship teams with promotion aspirations to try and increase interest in the player to me. Sorry to be pessimistic.

What struck me with this is the number of difficult goals scored vs easy chances. Looks like he can create something out of nothing.

Razor sharp finishing. Night and day vs Simms or BTA and would make a huge difference to the team.

Would need a big change to our style of play to make a 5’7 striker work. Wouldn’t be able to just spam 50 crosses a game.

We need to change, or better still be able to be flexible, in our style.

Agreed although he seems very intelligent in his runs, so low closes and playing more through balls from the wings could be a shout

Tbf most of our headed goals came from defenders and midfielders anyway

Decent jump and some headed goals in there

Was one of the main reasons I wanted Kvistgaarden was that he was small too but looked great in the air and scored a lot of headed goals.

I keep saying it and i truly believe it, i don't think being 6.4ft or 5.8ft makes a blind bit of difference to how we play. The volume of crosses will still be high with a high ratio of headed goals scored next season. The key is having intelligence to time your run to create the space and the position to make it harder to miss that score. Top striker keep making good runs and can make a bad pass into a good one and a good pass into a great one. Tha aim is accuracy and timing, accuracy of the pass/cross and timing of the run..

I dont mind having a 6.ft player but intelligence and atletism is more important than physicality and height is my opinion. A mixture can work but the lad i question would not effect how we play, he would be a very good addition.

If we’re spending £5m on a striker I’d rather try for Richard Kone. Think he’s got it all.

Wycombe apparently want around £10 million for him. He scored 18 goals but a lot of those goals came in the first half of the season. He's on a long term contract so Wycombe are not going to let him go cheaply. He's also been linked with West Ham

I wouldn’t want to spend that on a player who’s scored 2 goals in the league below since Jan
