My ex started smoking at 32, I thought she was insane.

Quite a few top players have smoked over the years, Johan Cruyff and Ossie Ardiles. Probably less now, but that applies to the general population as well.

Apparently there has been pictures of Frank smoking when he was a player.

So a goalie, right back, couple of midfielders and a 15+ goal scorer is all we need then its all systems go.

We are being loosely credited with an interest in Barry Bannan...

Feels a bit like they have picked three Championship teams at random though.

Not sure on this.

Exclusive: Championship Clubs Queue Up for West Ham Stalwart Aaron Cresswell

Experienced left-back Aaron Cresswell of West Ham is attracting interest from Championship clubs on a free transfer. The 35-year-old is unlikely to stay in the Premier League but has offers from Coventry City, Bristol City, QPR, and Millwall. Cresswell, capped three times by England, has been a...

Had a few contacts at Fulham. Berbatov and Martin Jol used to go for a smoke at half-time

Well he ran the midfield against us at home when he came on ….changed the match.

He doesn’t have legs but his football brain is very good.

an interesting option off the bench but is he too similar to Grimes ??

Just think we need younger players , Cresswell isn't very good anyway and Bannon is only going to get slower , plus he'd want a decent wage.

Not a big fan of signing old players but whenever i see Bannan , i'm surprised how good he is still at this level. I'm going to say its clickbait nonsense but Bannan on a 1 year deal wouldn't be the worst thing.

Wasn’t that @Jimmy87, Think that’s Brau. Did some more digging and he did play left CB in a season (only a handful of times if that)

Yes. He takes it off their central defenders unless they are chasing the game then they push him forward in the hole, which is not ideal as he can barely see out if it.

He had a pretty unhappy loan there before us. Frozen out by Alex Neill and publicly slated for not being able to cope with long balls over his head. Pretty poor management of a teenager in my book but it may have left scars on both sides.

I don’t think it is . Brau is a left back. A handful of games in an alternative position doesn’t count unless you think Rudi and Kitch are left backs ??

what a player bannon was last season. mistake for the simms goal at Hillsborough but seemed to make everything tick for Wednesday. my main concern would me if everything *has* to go through him we might end up a bit like when Gary Mac played for us and quite predictable

but if he comes on for the last 20-30 he could be a real difference maker and boss extra space you get when legs tire. i cant imagine him doing many full 90's especially as i think he was getting injured quite a bit last season?

No but it was a leftback who can cover in CB wasn't it? Which Brau can do, plus you add the couple of years scouting (which makes sense for a unknown in Spain) and it being done before the play offs (joining either way) and I think Brau is the likely candidate

You might be right but I suspect the club want 2 new left backs ….

When the club were discussing recruitment last summer and in January I’d be amazed if they didn’t conclude neither existing full back was up to the job.

to be fair JDS was excellent in the run in but as you say the scouting started well before that …

Not linked with any strikers yet and that is likely to be the most difficult position to successfully fill.

Oh I agree we 100% based on the rumours want another leftback and could see both Bidwell and Dasilva leave.

Just think Brau was the rumoured one noted, Toffolo sounds close as the starter.

Or he may feel, now more mature and experienced, he has something to go back and prove. I can't see him passing up on the opportunity to play Prem football based on a loan a spell when he was a kid - what 16?
