The way he said it to me at the time he first told me was that he had played LCB in the 3 before but was predominantly a LB. The talks had been ongoing for a long time and we had been scouting him for a while. He would want to join us whether we went up or not. That's all the info i had.

To be fair though he was 18 (i think) playing in league 1 that's a rough and difficult league for anyone that age especially a defender.

He probably was shit but learned a lot from it.
