Sorry man, i've only just seen this, been away.
My source is away until the end of June now, when i last spoke to him before i went away, the only info i had gotten at that point was -

From the retained list, no player had been specifically told that they were surplus to requirement, not even Brad Collins (which may upset a few).
However, we will listen to any offers for players of interest, if it means Lampard can improve that position. DK is happy where we stand with players contracts, we don't have to sell if we don't want to (which we all know).
Wants to build on what we have.
Agent talks had been going on for 2 right sided players, 1 GK.
As for the LB, he had heard no more at that point, not sure what the situation is there, i was originally told about this back at the Stoke home game, nothing has changed on that note, still the same info, LB that can play the LCB position when playing in a 3, was identified a while back, was set to sign whether we went up or not.

Not heard anything about any other positions, but haven't spoke with him for a couple of weeks, i'm sure there's lots going on in the background, players will probably be finishing up their summer breaks in the next couple of weeks, so things may start to happen then i suspect.

Guessing the LB is Brau? Can he play CB?

On the left sided wingback who can play Cb, Can Brau play on the inside or is this on about someone else I wonder?

The way he said it to me at the time he first told me was that he had played LCB in the 3 before but was predominantly a LB. The talks had been ongoing for a long time and we had been scouting him for a while. He would want to join us whether we went up or not. That's all the info i had.
I don't really know anything about this Brau, so i'm not sure.

From scouting reports Brau seems like an out and out left back that likes to get forward and put crosses in. If your description is right I'm fairly sure it won't be him...

I watched him play left side of a back 3 which i posted weeks ago. Brau will need a little time to settle in and get used to the speed of things. I still think we will bring in Toffolo and see Binks and Bidwell moved on.

I wish i had more info, this is going back a while, i'd asked Saddle at the time if he'd heard the same and he had, though i never had a name. Things could definitely have changed but it seemed as though it had been an ongoing thing, like we'd developed a good relationship with the agent / player.
Maybe this Brau is capable of playing that position if needed, but used more as an out and out LB. Haven't read anything about him myself, has he been used in the same formation all season?

Edit: Just seen Long Way Home's post, maybe he has played that position a couple of times?

At 6ft 1, there is a chance he could be OK as a LCB but everything I google about him doesn't mention it. Perhaps we are all barking up the wrong tree. I also just discovered Harry Darling has gone to Norwich - doh!

More likely whoever the original target was, we’ve gone for someone else

We did have reports this deal was done before the play offs right? Would line up that he was joining no matter the league
