I will be sorry to see Bidwell go, as he has been a solid and reliable player for us and it was useful that he could play CB as well as LB. Sadly though he is no longer quick enough for the way we play.

Brau is better suited to us but there are still question marks as to whether he is good enough, certainly defensively.

I won't complain if we get in another good quality LB, although O'Nien's versatility could be handy.

Very difficult to get better players than we have already on loan …. You’re basically talking about persuading premier league clubs / players to loan you a player they think won’t get many minutes if any for them …. Hence the 2 young loan’s we are looking at …. Certainly no guarantee either will be better then the wide players we have but they will give us options from the bench
Esse is easily good enough. He brings speed and trickery. Spoke to a Palace mate. Says he loves to dribble with the ball and is a good player. My mate is comparing him to Prem players. Just what we need. YMK is highly regarded by his parent club, again a Prem side. Will play an important part for us.

Then you have O'Nien. Average Championship player that rarely does better than average. No thanks.

Not been told tbh mate, not sure if it's a January or summer job also not sure if they are likely to be announced or just will turn up.

One name given was Noonan at Shamrock Rovers but this was 3 months ago now, my record is shit as is so I won't be committing to this one 😂

In other news I'd be surprised if Manneh signs for Birmingham now based on the reason we pulled out, i won't share the reason but it would surprise me if Birmingham risk it is what I will say!
He’s not actually 21 is he?

In your opinion.

Lati is more of a reliable player. Lati is a reserve. We want players comparable to our 1st team and not comparable with one of our reserves.
In what respect? He barely gets a minute for us whereas O'Nien played almost ever present for a play off winning team. As i said a few times there is no point spending big on players for the premier league before we get there. It will be loans or proven championship players until we do.

It's cute and funny at the same time 😍🤣

Even more so that parks is trying to impress you by getting on the bandwagon.

Do wish I had that much hair though.
Mate nobody finds you funny or cute, you are that much of a fanny you had to ban my mate because he terrors you daily. Banning someone on a football forum, how embarrassing you big crybaby

A playoff winning side that were lucky to win the playoffs. Fair play if you think he's good enough for us.

Who has mentioned spending big? I said I'm happy with loans as long as they improve us. O'Nien doesn't improve us in any way other than taking up a place in our squad.

I haven't banned anybody or said I'm funny or cute.

"Terrors" 🤣🤣 ok then.

Pair of weirdos who think football forums are sad but between you both have made hundreds of accounts. Think it's an insult to say "you live on a football forum" whilst also living on a football forum.

Not the brightest. At least parks wants to be like you though. 😍

Lati is a good professional who acquits himself well at CB, certainly as well as O’Nien did. There was basically nothing to choose between 3 of the 4 playoff sides either.

They still beat us and won them. Given the defending by us recently i find it strange you dont think he could improve that

Per 90 stats last season for O’Nien

Very little to choose between them. The much bigger difference in that Sunderland team was Ballard who has gone on to play for them this season whereas O’Nien has hardly featured.
Only thing jumping out is the recoveries. With our high line we really do rely on our CBs being able to get back.

Plus helps he’s left footed as currently got Bidwell as the back up. Dribbling is important as well as we love our CBs to progress the ball either by moving it or passing it

In fairness, anyone outside the top 11 or 12, doesn't get many minutes..Lati as excellent in a 3, 10 men, at Southampton. Look at Woof and KH! Hardly played. That is Frank, not trusting decent players

Also, Lati is a clear 4th choice CB. If a player is on par with him, it’s not worth it. We have more pressing needs at LB and CM.

There is an argument to be had over who is better between O’Nien or Lati.

But either way the whole argument is about a 4th choice CB, as neither are any better than Bobby, Kitch or the Woolf so why would we even entertain trying to upgrade a 4th choice CB!?

Lati is perfectly capable to come in and do a job when required as he has proven (hardly ever)
