Bassette isn’t a winger, he had a few cameos there last season and it looked unnatural because he couldn’t take anyone and there is scant evidence he can cross.

Maybe he’ll end up being a good player elsewhere but doubt it’ll be with us. He appears to have blown whatever favour he had with Lampard when he first came in.

I know, how unfortunate.
Surely they should change the rule for it to just be in that one league you can’t play for three clubs, allowing him a move down a league or overseas in another competitive league

That is bizarre, but if they offer big bucks let him go, Simms and BTA are good enough in this division, especially with Piroe rumoured as well. Perhaps the Haji fee would allow us to spend bigger bucks on better players
