I will guarantee this is 100% correct and I have been told this by someone who absolutely knows. If you don't believe me, I don't give a shit. I don't make things up or read between the lines on here, unless I say that is what I am doing. There are absolutely no ITKs on here or on other social media channels where information has come from our club. Some people pass on information they get second hand from people who claim to know. Some people are credulous.
Obviously, other clubs and agents are a different matter, and that is where rumours like Manneh came from and possibly Esse also.
Rumours only have legs if the source is a reputable person.

Look, there are people on here who spin bullshit or others who can't tell a genuine post from someone who has been told something most don't want to hear.
By definition, you can only be in the know if someone tells you who we are after. Someone saying I don't know anything when they should absolutely be in a position to know what is happening means what? You can speculate, the people in the club who do know keep it to a very small number of people who will not say, or all staff have been told not to say anything.
However, since the "kit man got sacked" (if that was for real), show me one instance, in more recent times, where information has been released regarding a pending transfer that came from our club. Think Tatsu was spotted at Ryton, the others were done deals.
For full disclosure, I have a relative who works at the club, who I have not seen until this Christmas for a very long time. I also know another relative who often dines with King.
What have I been told? Nil, Zilch, Nada.
Just thought I would share this with you to take a lot of these posts about players coming in with a bucket of salt. Just look at all the claims made in the Summer about who we were buying and what happened with Adi. Supreme bullshit.
I get it is fun to speculate but most links have a feel of Erik Von Daniken. Page 1, was God an alien, page 3, when the aliens landed. The rumours are taking on a life of their own.
Esse and Manneh had legs because they leaked from the selling or loaning club or agent. A lot of the others look less reputable, but they may happen.

Raphael is playing wingback for Wigan btw. He also has goal in L1 so he’s definitely not in a position to perform at the required standard yet.

Bassette isn’t a winger, he had a few cameos there last season and it looked unnatural because he couldn’t take anyone and there is scant evidence he can cross.

Maybe he’ll end up being a good player elsewhere but doubt it’ll be with us. He appears to have blown whatever favour he had with Lampard when he first came in.
