I thought under contract players could agree to go on trial at other clubs with the permission of the owning club, which in this case is Cov.It’s been discussed a lot because he apparently signed pro terms last year with us yet seems to have been nicked for free? Als the offal still had him as a city player.
Have you got a link so I can update the contract thread? Not that I don’t believe you just how I do things.

The link indicating McCallum signed a pro contract with City is below, if this is the one you are referring to.
I will try and find the item saw about McCallum at Chelsea, but that may take some time.
Not happening though.Desperately need a cb in January, leaking far too many goals. It’s fucking embarrassing if we want to go up automatically
If a prem club wants Bobby and will pay 10 million plus they can have him, we can get better. Lati can also goNot happening though.
We’ve got one sitting on our bench that we paid good money for.
Lati staying or going has nothing to do with it tbf. No Prem club is paying £10 million for Bobby Thomas and I think it’s dangerous to assume we could get better. If a prem club wants Bobby and will pay 10 million plus they can have him, we can get better. Lati can also go
Yeah that’s all I could find that was official. Lots of youth sites saying he’s at Chelsea but I’ll be honest I don’t know how reliable any of them are. Hoping for something on either clubs official site that confirms where he is. Even just a match report.
Link below to the highlights from Chelsea, from about 1:44, you are looking at Chelsea’s number 12 which is McCallum.
But he might still just be on trial and officially contracted to us.Amazing. After all that work I shall… delete his line from the contracts thread.
This is likely to be the case, players can go on trial whilst contracted to another club, but it’s usually kids in truth. But he might still just be on trial and officially contracted to us.

Interesting! Thanks for the info. Fee bigger than £5m?Manneh medical booked.
Fee is bigger than I would expect. But heavily add on based. If deal isn't signed (at least behind closed doors) before Xmas, with the final details being worked out, then I expect it will collapse. Both sides confident it will be done though.
Great news, doubt we’d book the medical if both sides weren’t confident we can get it sorted.Manneh medical booked.

A friend of a friend of a friend and on and on - said earlier today that the Manneh deal was all but done and two more were coming in as well. I’ll leave it there as vague as it is
Have you heard about any others ?Manneh medical booked.

He lets the ball do the talking.Very humble guy. Frank likes a humble one.
Aren't there some reports out there describing it as being a record transfer for us? That would be surprising considering the league we are bringing him in from but gives an idea it might be way north of 5mInteresting! Thanks for the info. Fee bigger than £5m?
This place completely loses its head after a defeat. We are nine points clear of third with almost half the season gone, that’s because our squad is already very good. The idea that we can forget about promotion unless the squad grows by >20% is delusional.Still going to stand by this but if we’re going to see this season out with autos we need 4-5 more players.

If the likelihood of you playing in a different division next season is >90% than you’d be a fool not to factor it into your transfer business.I'm listening to the phone in; some saying there's a conundrum about whether to buy to consolidate our Championship position or to buy for the Premiership.
I think this is irrelevant. We will buy the best players we can afford and who want to come here. Buying for a different league doesn't come into it.

Stacking the squad with Championship-quality depth pieces that would then become unwanted dead weight six months later would be terrible business and would leave us hamstrung in the summer. We could do with an extra option out wide/up front, but it’s almost like people have forgotten this squad has already dealt with major injuries this season and is currently running away with the league regardless.
