Not a rumour but I’d be looking at Ward-Prowse. West Ham told him he can go.

We only didn’t have a stable squad under Robins because we kept getting promoted!

Are you seriously comparing buying a championship club with a free £40m on the brink of promotion with Sisu how many years into their tenure? It’s apples and oranges. By any metric he’s a very lucky owner. It’s rare you pick up clubs in the state we were in for the price he did.

It wasn't on the brink of promotion. He had about 10 players in the squad in summer '23. Two players dragged half a team of loanees to Wembley and all of them were out of the door.

He had to start again. He took the money and built this squad. He should get credit for that. Luck didn't build it. Most of us would've been happy if he'd spent 60% of those two fees.

If you're arguing the club was in a good state, I don't agree at all e.g. Ryton was a sh*thole funded by people other than Sisu. Little of the club was at Championship standard.

I'm not gonna drag this out in a thread about transfers but the idea that King just had to roll up and all that's happened since was a gimme is just mad to me. Agree to disagree.

He got share capital for bunging it in. It was worthless. He then hawked his package round any club he could find. One greedy c**t,

The only 2 good things SISU did for our club was

1) Go with their tale between their legs and get Mark Robins back

2) Sell up

End of debate. They were a stain on our great club and incompitent of running a football club.

Very Historical, you are now officially the Groom of the Stool.

Groom of the Stool - The worst job in history?

Surely one of the most repulsive jobs in history, the 'Groom of the King's Close Stool' was a role created during the reign of Henry VIII to monitor and assist in the king's bowel motions.

Fisher couldn't sell the club to anyone decent or hide the mess we were in. MR knew Fisher had very little to offer other than give MR full control. MR and his staff done a brilliant job with what they had, despite poor owners not because of...

That is the difference, Fisher didn't have a clue what he was doing and the fact Sisu hired him about sums it al up.

Robins was also responsible for Boddy coming in. Who, whilst had his faults, was immeasurably more suited to running a football club than Fisher

Id see if Ward Prowse had anything left to offer. If he still had desire to play and had something left he would add quality to the squad.

They were reported to have a very good working relationship and Robins wouldn't have come back in if it wasn't for Fisher.

If we land Onyeka and potentially a LB to compete with JDS that's going to be one hell of a match day squad . It will cope with the inevitable injuries that crop up.

Groom of the Stool.

It was very privileged, but was probably more handing stuff over and helping whichever fat prick was king at the time get back into their ludicrously fussy and bulky clothes afterwards than actually wiping. You'd like to think so, anyway.

It must have been awful for both parties, though. Violently explosive bowels after a particularly heavy banquet; one's thinking, 'Christ, this is the worst moment of my life', and the other's thinking 'oh god, the whole court's going to hear about this.'

Milan is on 7 yellows. Kitching is on 6.

Is it no more than 10 bookings by game 37?

This is a concern for me, without being dramatic and it makes you wonder if they've lost a bit of cohesion, but we just can't speculate at the moment,be positive Unite and let's see where that takes us!
