Did Onye Igwe really have one eye? I didn't know that about him. All I really remember is him having a go at Sky Blue Sam for being overweight.
No someone created a picture of him wearing a pirates eyepatch when he was up to no good and branded him "one eyed igwe" in reference to One Eyed Willy from the Goonies

He didn't have £50m in fees or prize money so you're undermining your argument with exaggerations. We spent more than we received.

We have a squad of our own that's been stable for three seasons. Expect that's the first time we've been in that position since relegation.

Did he buy at a good time? Yeah, and he's capitalised. Did MR and Sisu get lucky that Adi stayed when Taylor fell ill? that MR was available again?

We only didn’t have a stable squad under Robins because we kept getting promoted!

Are you seriously comparing buying a championship club with a free £40m on the brink of promotion with Sisu how many years into their tenure? It’s apples and oranges. By any metric he’s a very lucky owner. It’s rare you pick up clubs in the state we were in for the price he did.

"A free £40 million"

Brilliant!

It wasn't on the brink of promotion. He had about 10 players in the squad in summer '23. Two players dragged half a team of loanees to Wembley and all of them were out of the door.

He had to start again. He took the money and built this squad. He should get credit for that. Luck didn't build it. Most of us would've been happy if he'd spent 60% of those two fees.

If you're arguing the club was in a good state, I don't agree at all e.g. Ryton was a sh*thole funded by people other than Sisu. Little of the club was at Championship standard.

I'm not gonna drag this out in a thread about transfers but the idea that King just had to roll up and all that's happened since was a gimme is just mad to me. Agree to disagree.

He was the one who wanted Sisu to invest!
Yes i know.. and part of the deal he handed over prozone or what ever it was which he owned, then when we didnt get pronoted first season they went back on everything so Ranson left and lost his Business

Also when he took over we weren't that good, BSB was scared we'd get relegated ;)

He got share capital for bunging it in. It was worthless. He then hawked his package round any club he could find. One greedy c**t,

I think he had a far easier job than most new owners. That’s all I’ve said.

The only 2 good things SISU did for our club was

1) Go with their tale between their legs and get Mark Robins back

2) Sell up

End of debate. They were a stain on our great club and incompitent of running a football club.

Fuck Seppala. Fuck fishface. Fuck One Eyed Igwe, Fuck Ken Deluded and Fuck Txt a Sub

I would Happily wipe King Dougs bottom every morning for where we are now.

ALL HAIL KING DOUG!

If it wasn't for Fisher, Robins wouldn't have returned.

The only decent manager out there that could be sold how much of a mess we were in was MR. He had left Fisher and the twats because of them in the 1st place.

Fisher couldn't sell the club to anyone decent or hide the mess we were in. He knew MR knew he had very little to offer other than give MR full control. MR and his staff done a brilliant job with what they had, despite poor owners not because of...

That is the difference, Fisher didn't have a clue what he was doing and Sisu hired him which sums it al up.

MR came back because he knew the mess and knew he had very little back up from Fisher. However he knew and asked for full control and he got it. He and his staff done a brilliant job, despite poor owners not because of...

Robins was also responsible for Boddy coming in. Who, whilst had his faults, was immeasurably more suited to running a football club than Fisher

They were reported to have a very good working relationship and Robins wouldn't have come back in if it wasn't for Fisher.

Groom of the Stool.

It was very privileged, but was probably more handing stuff over and helping whichever fat prick was king at the time get back into their ludicrously fussy and bulky clothes afterwards than actually wiping. You'd like to think so, anyway.

It must have been awful for both parties, though. Violently explosive bowels after a particularly heavy banquet; one's thinking, 'Christ, this is the worst moment of my life', and the other's thinking 'oh god, the whole court's going to hear about this.'

If we land Onyeka and potentially a LB to compete with JDS that's going to be one hell of a match day squad . It will cope with the inevitable injuries that crop up.
And suspensions which also seem to be becoming an issue. Kitch cant be far away from one now
