We’re top of the league and our starting striker is somehow unsellable despite not scoring in 13 games. Why wouldn’t you bin him off and bring in one of the hottest young strikers in Europe at a net profit? It epitomises “the model” and gives us more firepower.
Yeah let's pin our promotion hopes on a guy who's had one good season in Sweden! No brainer!

I see all your replies and understand we don’t have an unlimited transfer budget, but surely if there’s any point to go ALL IN then it’s right now?
Depends what you mean by all in. The more we spend now the less we have to spend in the summer. It's easier to sign players in the summer and if we’re in the Prem we would have a better chance of getting even better players as a Prem side.

Grimes is an example of the level of funds and player we should still be in for.

On Look North this evening Regis Le Bris hs stated that Dan Neil is going nowhere in the transfer window, even though he’s only played 13 minutes in the Premier League this evening. Could mean nothing, of course…..

Im going to be the one to say it as I know the opinion isn't a sexy one. Presuming he's motivated Harry Winks is a better option than just about all the other suggestions on here.
He is, but out of our pay range I would imagine. Depends how desperate Leicester are to get rid, and may loan with a much reduced contribution from the receiving team. However, doesn't really fit our character assessment and appears a disruptive influence.

We have signed 2 already this window. Calm down.

I was clearly very angry when I wrote that. Your EQ must be off the charts.

I would like to see us shut up shop a bit more during games and just see games out away from home. We should have come away with a draw at Birmingham. Those points can add up.
As daft as it sounds, and how much we were being outplayed by Ipswich at home, bringing KKH on to man mark Clarke may have got us a 0-0 in that match. However, it is not the Lampard way. Shit or bust.

One doubts we are short of money, Dk is probably not willing to gamble the sustainability of the club going forward. Its funny how folks attitude to be a well run club with manageable overheads change in the January transfer window. I do believe that if the right target presents itself and will push us over the line then we should take the chance. The caveat to this though is not to expect too much business being done in the summer unless we sell first or receive significant investment. Who'd be an owner?
History tells us the last time we gambled it all went pear shaped and we ended up in League 2.
I will be surprised if we don't get one more, but it has to be the right player at the right price.

That was different. Years of decline on the pitch, stupid decisions off the pitch and compounded by relegation.

You're very good at lying when you want one of your stupid digs at someone.

He is all over the place. Also he admits he spreads bullshit. Which in my book is just his safety net

What came next was absolutely the case but, the moment we went from a lower top division club that was run properly, running a small deficit, to a club with massive debt left us vulnerable.
The leagues are littered with clubs that spent too much and floundered during that period.
The advent of the billionaire owners has pretty much changed the dynamic now. You either spend, spend, spend like the top clubs or buy sensibly and develop like Brighton, Palace and Brentford. You do that until the sugar daddy comes along.
If we had Birmingham's purchasing power, w would probably be 18 points clear now.

I mean Vik was literally at a PL club. Gus when we were linked had his stats everywhere after a huge response from the data scout community (not sure what the scare quotes are for?). We knew they were players with huge ability because they’d shown it already. Go back to the threads on them being linked and it wasn’t just some badly edited shit music YouTube vid like most of those linked these days.

What’s with the Birmingham ❤️???
you seem to follow a lot of what there doing so why not do us all a favour and go and support them you muppet!!!
I'm gonna see how the rest of the transfer window goes before deciding.

I'll be honest if the window goes how it seems with their targets I'll start supporting Wagner and the project.
