You missed out Preston where he played well and got their CB sent off. Bristol where he caused them problems and set up the winner (no assist as it touched their defender) and Southampton where if we had a decent ref he'd have also got their CB sent off and had a penalty.

His career and time with us suggest the goals will come again.
If's and But's.

We just need goals.

I think many on here are just windup merchants and post with tongue in cheek because no one can be so openly .. (How can I say it with being condescending) .. stupid.
DK is a self-made millionaire with a fraction of the wealth other owner possess, and why should he spend that wealth? Should he spend it to look popular with supporters who literally put around £2000 max into the club, but want their whole life's satisfaction to be given by the football club. If CCFC get promoted this year, it's not our achievement, it's FL and the players. Even in our lifetime we have been in the bottom runs of this country's footballing world where we had to get freebies in and it's only now we are witnessing of a different world, and we are nearly at heaven's gate.
PLEASE, get real. PLEASE. DK is doing everything he can do and he should not be expected to compete with people who literally make in a few months what he earns and owns completely. I do not want him to lose his family's treasure for a 5 minute joy ride around the premiership. ALREADY, he has done enough. He has given us an identity to be proud of and he is so hands-on.
If we go up we will go up because of him, not because of us.

I genuinely would not be against Thomas leaving...

Prepared to be crucified for that considering he is a fan favourite and 'he hates the Leicester'
He's good in the air to be fair to him he's dangerous in both boxes...

I think we should start playing matches in Doug King’s back garden and only he is allowed to watch.

the best thing about doug, aside from all the genuinely great stuff he is doing for us, is that there is undeniably a bit of the "let's be having you" delia smith vibes with him. you have the classic A-sides: "fist punches at wembley", "top 6 deck" and more recently the "aren't we all in it together to the end?" but you also have some underrated B-sides like "talksport interview live from a stationery cupboard"

Let’s not forget “joining the team for an end of season lap of honour” and “posing in his underwear to promote season ticket sales”

I see all your replies and understand we don’t have an unlimited transfer budget, but surely if there’s any point to go ALL IN then it’s right now?

No the sanctioned SBT Sensible Position ™️ is that buying players when you might get promoted is a Bad Idea.

We’re top of the league and our starting striker is somehow unsellable despite not scoring in 13 games. Why wouldn’t you bin him off and bring in one of the hottest young strikers in Europe at a net profit? It epitomises “the model” and gives us more firepower.
Sorry you have no idea how a signing like Priske would work out, he may well turn out good but expecting him to hit the ground running is frankly daft. We saw exactly the same posts about Kvistgaarden in the summer, the next big thing from Denmark, who came from a much better league than Priske btw, hardly set the league on fire has he? If we were going to get another striker for the here and now for the sole purpose of getting us promoted, going all in on someone like Callum Wilson is a far better shout.

Our alternative starting striker is on a goal a game practically for the season. A third player who can also play up front is, despite being out for several weeks, the second top scorer in the league. Why on earth would we sign another striker?

We should also not sign players if we do go up cos we might get relegated.

Basically only sign players if stranded in mid table.

Only on one condition, sell Thomas for 30 million and buy Hughes for 20 million.
