Hamer was voted the best player in the Championship last year. They said they would not sell him for less than £15 million. I will repeat that, the best. He was voted Sheff U player of the season in the Prem the season before.
He has been injured recently and is trying to play himself back into form. Think how Rudi has struggled to get back to his best.
The kebab jokes are funny, but I really don't buy this idea he is fat and unfit. Unless he somehow has had a career threatening injury, there is absolutely no way he goes for £6 million.
I am really shocked how gullible people are on here. You could make one post up and three pages later it is fact.

He’s stocky.

It’s the same fans saying don’t write off Haji wright because he’s had a disappointing 14 games saying don’t go for hamer as he’s been crap this year

For an unfit kebab muncher he has been consistently good.

I don't think it's going to happen, for a number of reasons, but to say he's not very good anymore is nonsense.

Personally, I would take Gus back in a heartbeat.
He is the most gifted player to have worn Sky Blue in the last decade imo , and last years Championship player of the season.
Guided and trained by FL and you get a fantastic player who has already played at PL level and who seems to have an affinity with the club.
£6m if true is a fucking bargain.

Depends how things were left with Doug when he moved on.

Would I take Hamer back and does he add the X factor in midfield? Absolutely

Players don’t always go for their worth, their premier league money is running out, hes on 40k a week and he clearly doesn’t want to be there. I don’t think he’ll come here but I can’t see them getting £15m. Thats basically what we got when he was 4/5 years younger.

Those saying no please suggest a midfielder for £6m who would impact our season as quickly as Hamer would

Hamer's out of contract in the summer and doesn't seem in a hurry to sign, probably why 6 million was quoted

We will find out when they are unveiled. It will be someone we wont have thought of though. Hamer's problem is his wages. No way will Doug pay more than the cap at this stage. Thats why Bamford and Wilson didnt and wont happen too.

England star considers January transfer with World Cup place under threat

England boss Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that he will only pick players who are performing regularly for their club and Ruben Loftus-Cheek is struggling for minutes at AC Milan

I've heard it's 6 million as he's actually older than he looks, apparently he was already 15 when he moved to the Netherlands from Brazil.

Only show in town after the play off final and he jumped at the first opportunity the fat prick. Turned down being top earner with us aswell.

Cannot see Hamer happening at all, albeit a great player. My preference is still a more physical midfielder similar profile to Ampadu or Matusiwa.

Alongside and as an understudy to Grimes I still think Conor Coventry at Charlton. A very good player who I think will still improve.

So just over half a million. Not bad, wont see it reinvested id imagine but will pay the bills for a few weeks

If we pay £100m, we would get 10% of that, so a £10m payout. Get it done Doug. No brainer!
