I have less of an issue with that and more just a concern about his fitness and Lampard not tolerating him going out on the piss every week.
Exactly this. If he can sort his fitness, and quickly, he'd 100% be our most influential player and certainly demand his wages being higher than anyone else's.

People are so bitter, and quick to look at goals. He would be monumental in this team.

People need to start getting the fuck over the whole wages thing! What people are currently saying is unaffordable now, will be peanuts if we want the type of players to keep us in the PL next season.

Also, on the "upsetting other players"! Ffs! You earn what your worth. All players at all clubs earn different amounts. You think there's any players at Inter Miami earning anything near to what Messi is earning? No, and why? Because outside of Messi, i couldnt name a single one of their players names. Is it fair that Ronaldo owns part of Al-Nassr as part of his pay along with a house, a car, a driver etc, whilst the rest of the squad (who again i couldnt name a single one) just get a salary? If players without PL experience want to get pissed off at a player bought in with PL experience earning more than them, then they clearly shouldn't be playing football and should work in a warehouse where everyone earns the same wage regardless of length of service.

It is not really about that. If a player comes in, earns more than you, and is sat eating kebabs and not taking it seriously then that is a potential issue with the squad. I have no idea if he really is that unprofessional or not, but he certainly looks that way in his figure these days.

He has the ability to be something special in this league, but is it too late for him? At what cost would it be to our squad? If he had a stellar season so far you might consider going for it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. If he came back and was a top professional and helped us get to the PL then I wouldn't say no, but I am extremely sceptical of what his contribution would be.

Ultimately his career story will prove to be one of wasted talent. He really should be in the top flight on ability.

Josh Eccles has more goals in less minutes in the league this season than Hamer. Maybe let that sink in.
So has BTA. The very idea that we would drop BTA who was the leagues top scorer before injury, for a little fat kebab muncher is absolutely rediculous.

Its exactly this kind of rediculous idea that gets the same fans who wanted Bamford and Callum Wilson here over stimulated.

Absolutely clueless

If I had a penny for every deal with Manneh has broken down, I’d have three pennys which isn’t a lot but odd it’s happened three times

Probably found out his real age🤣

Hamer for £6m last Jul with a pre-season under Lampard and the coaches, get it done. Hamer for £6m after an underwhelming season to date, nah.

Sheffield Utd was undoubtedly a bad move for him. Poorly managed with little attention paid to match day fitness by him and the club.
By the standards of a dreadful top flight team he personally had a good season in the top flight, but it's gone downhill since. I can't see King even considering it even at this knock down price.

no retort for the point that they dont even play the same position.

rub both your brain cells together then come back to me
If (he won't, but if) he comes we would play Hamer in a more attacking position, with Grimes behind. Probably alongside Torp.
We have BTA, Rudoni, and now Esse who can play that position.

We had the best out of Hamer before we sold him.
He's now a shadow of the player he was here.
If he leaves in this window, I'd expect him to move abroad where the physical demands are less.

If he was having a stellar season this wouldn't even be a conversation and that £6m rumour tweet wouldn't be a thing. Hes clearly not happy at blades. Cant imagine being played continuously out of position the season after winning championship POTS cant be great for moral.

He was their best player . It's significant that there is a big drop off in quite a number of their players after they've been there a couple of seasons.

The main argument against him is that hes not fit enough, and then the next is that is he as good as Torp?

Surely they counterract each other.

Imagine being able to play Hamer for 60 minutes and then bring Torp on for 30, and then next game Torp for 60 hamer for 30

Ive seen enough movies to know the man is only a two minute montage from peak physical performance.

What we really need to do is find the next Hamer.

If he was in good form it wouldn't even be a discussion as he wouldn't be affordable. It's probably as doable as its ever been but I still don't see it, I think he moves abroad next.

Hamer was voted the best player in the Championship last year. They said they would not sell him for less than £15 million. I will repeat that, the best. He was voted Sheff U player of the season in the Prem the season before.
He has been injured recently and is trying to play himself back into form. Think how Rudi has struggled to get back to his best.
The kebab jokes are funny, but I really don't buy this idea he is fat and unfit. Unless he somehow has had a career threatening injury, there is absolutely no way he goes for £6 million.
I am really shocked how gullible people are on here. You could make one post up and three pages later it is fact.
