I can see that from his side, but from ours I really don’t know if it’s a good idea. His best days are long behind him and fitness a glaring concern.
Lets be honest though, if he did sign, the whole league pays attention to that.
Does he look a bit past it against a premier league defence in a struggling west ham side? Yes

would he look past it against the bottom half championship defenders in a top of the league side? Doubt it very much

I dont think hes particularly close to his mum and brother

But the reason he was keen to see the back of Cov was his supposed mates who loved to run in shady circles and do lots of illegal activity. Could be bollocks though
Its not…went to school with them😅

Callum was an absolutely terrifying unit from the age of about 14, everyone he didnt know knew to stay very clear of him and the people he hung around.

Surely Doug can revoke their STs for him. I bet they don’t use the exchange.

Don’t think Nuno will have a chance to chat. He’s going to be sacked
I know they are absolute dog shite this year but you can't keep sacking managers, look at United they've had so many managers over the years and sacked them off, look at Watford too just sack them one after another, managers need time but in todays football you don't get it which is sad really

We have 100% had a couple of conversations with him the last few days, and he has been reciprocal

But he also needs to look at whats best financially for him and his now limited future
I take it you do know it's racehorses that get euthanized when retiring and not football players.

Serves them right for treating Moyes so poorly. They’re a club that have delusions of grandeur and this idealised version of ‘the West Ham way’.

In my lifetime, they’ve been a shit bottom half Prem club that occasionally goes down.

Look at Everton now, they looked a sure bet to go down at some point and Moyes has stabilised the club massively.

My thought was we needed 4 in. 1 RM, 1 who could play both wide positions. 1 CM box to box and 1 ACM.

So 2 in so far, could we be seeing more than 4 in?
And how many out and who..

Yeah Moyes is a good manager mate and was treated badly by them , I was just saying people need time in the job to build something good; Fergie at United, Robins with us but today that don't happen, hopefully Frank an Joe stays with us a long time

Robins didn't take time to be successful, he won the EFL trophy, within a month of arriving, then won promotion via the playoffs the next season!

He wouldn’t need to live anywhere near the place these days. Nice little pad in the Cotswolds would be easily doable .
It used to be that Clubs would specify in contracts a maximum mileage that players could live away from the training ground or stadium itself.

This may have changed now.

On the Wilson rumour, I do think it’s unlikely we sign him, it would be stuff of fairytales if we did and Callum fired us to promotion.

I'm just making the point he was with us over a long period, it was stability at the club , where as clubs like Watford just sack people off all the time so you can't build or have success

That makes sense imo. I think Doug has had a mindset shift now that we’re so close to promotion; he may realize the risk of spending now on perms could backfire with the newly bought players being pony in the prem.
Similar to Sunderland’s approach last season? I know they had some loans but no idea if they stayed.

Just said on talksport “and how about Callum Wilson to Coventry”

couldn’t believe my ears

If we have it must be a long way as I thought Kitching is still in the Barnsley area.

Must admit I’m not keen on Castledine. Certainly not as a permanent. I’m hoping the Neil rumours have some basis in fact. Midfield has to be the next priority. Two there and I think we’re good
