Hmm. Someone I knew got two and a half years for a similar crime. Am guessing the images found were rather worse than he made out...

That's what I would have expected my colleague to get.
It was a real shock, because none of us at work had a clue until it was all over the local newpapers.
Safe to say he never came back to work, and no doubt he's left the area.

Fucking hell, that's harsh.
Bloke I worked with got done for having 800 images of kids on his computer. Half of them were category A.
Didn't even get sent down. He got 4 months suspended for 2 years, and some community service. Cretin.

Our justice system has always been iffy. When I got into trouble years ago the courts really hammered you if you were up for violence, most of the time you got sent down. That pub brawl I got a broken nose, but because I had a record and I whacked the bloke back it was me that got the 2 years. Nonces get less ! But glad that was all in the past, mugs game.

Its madness. Did you see that documentary about one punch killers?

There was a lad in rugby who was backed into a corner, whacked the lad and he fell and died. So much trouble for those split seconds.

He didn't get sent down but others did.

There used to be 2 or 3 Crown Court judges in the 70's/80's Who when you heard were on duty the day you were in court , you knew if you were up for violence/fighting, you were going to prison. One was called Judge Griffiths, the other Harrison- Hall, they both were hard and scary. But looking back at least they were consistent and not soft, and made sure they didn't pussyfoot around. Blokes inside all had respect for them which sounds strange now. These are the kind you need now, they'd send these stabbers down for 20 years !

It was a very hard-watch to begin with as I was a little disturbed by what the investigating officers (the woman inspector mainly) had to look at and the fact she had certain images burned into her memory.

I kept saying while watching "hope she gets some type of counselling/therapy" to deal with the shit? But it was never mentioned.

Talking to the wife and we might set up a coke business of our own if you only get 7 years (out in 4 probably) for an absolute shit ton of cash!
Sentences were indeed a fuckin embaressment of Justice.

There was a programme on tonight called Code Blue : Murder. About a bloke who murdered his girlfriend of just 6 weeks and went on the run. They caught him and he got found guilty, and he got sentenced.
In the interview he said he was from Coventry. He stabbed her 30 odd times and was a nasty piece of work, but his sentence surprised me as he got 18 years only.

The bloke because he's a surgeon came across as an arrogant I'm better than you type. When he said " I want to go home " I laughed, he thought he was back at school. The policewoman interviewing him really disliked him, and me too. Cocky twat !

Yes, but I am talking about smashing the lower window pane in the cellar, rather than the one higher up by the latch, and then not at least trying to sound just a little bit perturbed and upset when he rang the police to report the burglary.

Arrogance, but a bit stupid too.

Guess he just thought because he was a surgeon no-one would question anything, but all of us must be aware that if you are claiming those sorts of amounts, a thorough investigation is going to take place.

Quite enjoyed the second male, not Jordan going back into "I'm a bad boy gangster" once he realised he was bang to rights after his crying and singing like a bird because he thought he was getting off with it.

Also interesting how they both dropped their street, thug life code of no grassing almost straight away.

Just watched them both.

What a pair of little gimps! Apparently making thousands a week but driving an old Audi about and head to toe in sports direct getup.

More info about it here - The full story of the sickening murder featured on 24 Hours in Police Custody

The bit where his mum was giving it the "He was an angel, everybody liked him, he got on with everybody". His dad - "Lots of people wanted to hurt him".

You can guarantee it every time, always a lovely bloke, never anyone up to no good. Was even a couple of his mates on twitter giving stick to people who were saying it was his own fault for being a drug dealer saying he was a great bloke etc.

Like the way they went to Tesco to buy some murdering clothes but kept the receipt, were they worried they might have to take them back if they didn't do him in?

I liked when he was talking to his solicitor asking how long you got for murder but then trying to make out he was just curious.

The only thing that annoys me about the show, why start off the show with showing the murderer?

I've no idea how nobody lost it with that women and her sudden onset of any illness she could think of. Made me laugh when one of the coppers said 'she'll have polio by the end of the week'.

After all that acting by her and how she messed about, she only got 9and a half years. Be out after doing half of that, bet she was laughing in her wheelchair, then doing press ups in her cell.

It's a great show. She is a dangerous piece of work. She'll be trying to arrange for the ex to be killed while she's in jail. She looks the type to turn lesbian.
Despite being well spoken etc she looked rough, Karen Matthews Chic. Felt quite sorry for the blokes involved, it was clear immediately that Earl was a bullshitter so no surprise the charge against him was dropped.

Should earls mum go in the not so obvious babes thread.
To be honest her and her some seemed inbred.

Several claims against restaurants that were not equipped with CCTV, for "slipping on a wet floor" and doing her back in.

Watched both episodes last night , how manipulative was she ? I’m surprised she never asked for a red carpet to be rolled out for her
