Correct BSB but from reports of his off field exploits he's not been doing so well in his personal life
Drink-drive conviction, bashed up and injured in a night club brawl etc

The point was more it wasn’t all lost revenue. The club made some revenue, even if iFollow and shirts are sold at cost (they aren’t) that was maybe £150 of value for £250 (IIRC). People like me also bought a foreign iFollow sub for the away games so double paid. We also didn’t have to pay stewards or policing costs or any other match day expenses we would have on a crowd of 7k. So as I say I doubt the losses were much more than they have been for a bad season in the lower leagues.

It just sticks in the throat a little to be asked to pay over the odds when we didn’t have to and then be told “sorry can’t be competitive, COVID don’t you know”. The fans are doing their bit for the club finances, we’re in a stadium of appropriate size on by all accounts a decent rental deal. If we can’t compete now under this model we never will be able to. And I’m not talking about competing with the likes of Bournemouth, more the likes of Barnsley.

Perhaps Robins working minor miracles on a shoestring for the division has some thinking he can just do that every year while they get a bigger cut

Walker it's taken a while to think he's useful to the team but think under robins he's improved and made a difference Sunday replacing waghorn so think he's trusted and a natural finisher who's got a big future.

I’m sure if the club got sniff that were was a reasonable agreement to be had with Chelsea they’d be all over it. But it’s not going to happen

The owners for repayment of things like the interest they kindly whack on to the loans each year. Like virtually nobody else in the league in that regard

The club hasn't made any significant income on player sales since McCallum signed for Norwich. There must be some pressure on the accounts to move someone pretty soon. All players have a price and I'd expect somebody to go either now or in January. I suspect if there was any interest in Walker we'd have heard about it by now, the big question is can we hold onto CoH? We'll have to sell or extend his contract shortly.

If I’m the opposing CB, I’d be pleased to see Walker over Gyokeres and Waghorn.

I don't doubt that a CB would rather face Walker over Gyorkeres but Gyorkeres is a battering ram, the CB will come out the other side feeling a bit stiff in the morning but Walker is a far superior finisher and has better movement in and around the box. His goal against Watford last season was absolutely superb, on the half volley, drilled it into the bottom corner, with the outside of the foot from outside the box, skysports would be wetting themselves if it was scored by one of the stars in the prem.

Get him tied down to a longer contract and next summer we can command a big big fee.

But to sell there actually has to be interest, there has been no suggestion that other clubs are seriously looking at O’Hare.

Unlike Johnson of Forest where clubs are interested and have bid

Premier League keen to sign Wales international Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest

A Wembley appearance in the League One play-off final capped a superb campaign for the 20-year-old

I imagine he’d only sign that if he had guarantees a bid of x would be accepted

Are you sure? I remember Mr Fisher challenging me about the interest being added but not being paid. I know some was taken in the last few years and as loans are required and added at high interest rates that’s not a good position to be in. Having said that what’s the alternative?

Not yet - the window is open for a while yet. If I was a PL manager I'd take him and loan him back for the season for sure.

Loan him back? He’s 23, if you’re spending a significant money amount on him you’d want him to be making an impact straight away.

Look at what every other set of owners does and at worst they are interest free loans, more common is for it to be written off as equity or in rare cases just written off entirely.

Ok that’s an answer but then that’s an owner that you and many others feel doesn’t care about the success or otherwise of the club giving money as a gift which I think is somewhat unlikely.

The difference of course is the owners aren't putting any money in directly - they are funding through I would assume through investors who will charge high repayable interest - Pete quoting whatever Fisher says is ridiculous - he is the King of glib remarks and spin

They aren't giving any money and an interest free loan is not a gift. Perhaps they can loan against the equity of the brand new stadium we are building

I wasn’t quoting him sorry to mislead. I was just pointing out an experience I had and it was right. The figure was in the accounts but nothing was being paid as the money wasn’t available.

I agree about interest rates and charging less. I’m not sure I agree that I would expect owners to give millions each season but would obviously love this to be the case

Depends what you mean. He could be in England international at 26 or 27, and he'd probably be available for around £3.5m or so

Every other club in the professional pyramid makes losses and receive either interest free money or gifts to cover the losses? Bollox

Looking at the players ahead of him who are not much older like Grealish, Cantwell and Maddison and the players younger like Mount, Smith Rowe and Foden he would need to show unbelievable improvement to reach that level

I've always thought that the Warwick Uni stadium plan is designed to make the club more attractive to potential buyers

There is also conversion into shares which is fairly commonplace. Genuinely look around in our league and check it for yourself

Oh I know our league is a bunch of fruitcakes of people taking the gamble to make money on promotion.
