During the 70s when it was all out strike action. Good job Maggie came to power when she did

The irony is the Labour government thought they had the upper hand and agreed with the unions a pay restraint agreement. Once that was agreed the unions renaged and forced strike action across the board.

When i worked for the City Engineers in Coventry where i served my electrical apprenticeship the Union leaders were in a time warp, the wearing of communist caps i couldn’t get my head around. Couldn’t stand them. They never did fuck all for anyone except themselves

I mean the backlog of people waiting to be vetted and given a decision is what’s causing the whole problem.

You’re talking to someone who wants those hotels returned to the paying public and for the claims to be processed off shore if at all possible.
It's a fair idea though, isn't it. Save the taxpayer a few bob, everyone marching should take one in and look after them, keep an eye on them, introduce them to our culture until they are processed. Sponsor an illigal immigrant, sort of thing. Waiting for a three word slogan so the PM can get the masses on board.

To be fair, maybe some do. I know one or two who have housed Ukrainian families for example.

Yeah it is free speech, although imagine paying into a union to make sure you don't get unfairly sacked and see them rocking up counter protesting against that.

Id imagine a fair number of their members are immigrants. And let’s be clear it’s an anti immigration protest nothing to do with kids. They don’t turn up for any kids murdered or raped by anyone who they don’t think is an immigrant.

It’s funny really as Farage literally sets the political tone for the whole country

Don’t worry Dom - if you go to the games but don’t have anyone to talk to, then I think it’s totally fine if you just post on the off topic board instead!
