But he is one part in a sum of parts.

Dabo and Adaramola really ripped Bristol down the flanks didnt they?
Which so many fans thought they would do at Sunderland if they had started.

The game was realistically over after half an hour. You may as well save your big names and give your youngsters a chance.

Adaramola did when he got the ball.

Seriously worried about Saturday. Senior players going into a game in 37 degree heat seriously under cooked. I can only assume there was a bcd friendly on Monday, because to leave them all out makes no sense.

I'm a big Robins fan, but I thought that team selection was very disrespectful to people who had gone to great efforts just to be there. People sat at home on their arse who are 'not bothered' can fuck off.

That's why managers in general should have to say in advance.

Beaten easily at his near post. Not sure if an error or just could've done better.

Our record in the LC since Robins returned is a pointer to what you can expect tbf. We’ve not progressed past the second round

Sorry I thought you were joking when you said managers should let the fans know before they travel. You’re serious WOW. I’ve read it all now, you are deluded

Probably because he wants to collect his thoughts and give constructive criticism to the players; rather than just bitch about Eccles like you.

Robins publicly thanked the travelling fans and their turnout pre match on radio, "How many I saw on the road here.."

Thank fuck that's out of the way and we can focus on the real business of arguing hedge funds, pitch maintenance and dying rugby clubs

So glad we lost this game . Like some have said the congestion of games will be a massive factor in our season. Let’s just concentrate on the league and forget about any cup runs . This is a blessing that we truly need.

Doesn't make it ok to put so much of a shit show out after fans have been fucked about. (Granted not his fault).

Then fuck straight off down the tunnel while players applaud the fans.

Without this competition how are the players on the fringes supposed to push for a start? Training isn't enough. I get that most aren't arsed about the cup but for minutes in some who need it, seems like we do this every season.

Surprising to hear Robins implying that this years loans aren't as gd as last year-"we were lucky to get them (last year)". Wonder who he means? I know they are "just young lads/kids" as he says but they sorta were last year too.

This is true. We wee never real contenders.

Makes all the 'glad we're out' comments all the more bizarre. Yeah, forget a cup run, forget winning football matches, forget the potential for big occasions later in the competition, let's focus on the mid table Championship finish we all know we're heading for.

What message does that send to this year’s loanees? In any case he’s obviously just pissed off with the general situation

I am not saying he didnt do ok. I havent criticised players, I have criticised certain fans expectation and their over simplification of what makes a successful team

A few conclusions from today’s game :
1. Adaramola and doyle playing together on the left side of the defence is dangerous. Both had poor positional sense and left big gaps.
2. Burroughs (based on that performance) is a better option than Eccles at RWB
3. Waghorn looked more sharp when he came on than Walker.
4. Allen only began to play well when he had Waghorn dropping deep to help him , showing imo that allen at attacking midfield on his own will never work
5. There is no way on this earth that Wilson is a better keeper than moore

I will give you that, but it doesnt make you play off contenders anymore than Nottingham Forest were relegation candidates?

Bit of perspective;
14 Championship teams knocked out tonight/last night, 11 of them to lower league teams.

Showed really good touches, strong on the ball, played some really good balls splitting their defence just a shame it was Tavares trying to get on the end of them

Well considering it was game over after half an hour having more of the ball after they declared isn’t saying much. Up to that point we couldn’t get hold of it and were leaving pretty much the whole midfield available for them.

Took us almost an entire half to register a shot on target simply because we couldn’t get any possession further up the pitch.

We need to revert to the box more often because playing this way the front 2 are feeding off scraps.

Huddersfield also spanked 4-1 at ‘home’ by same league opposition. Are they also delighted at that?
