I just never have any confidence he’ll do anything when the ball comes to him. He’s great in every aspect that doesn’t involve touching a football.

Ha ha, sounds so harsh like that but absolutely true.

Actually think Allen has been pretty effective in the 10 for a change, keeps dropping off & finding space & Birmingham really don't know who should pick him up which creates space for others. If only he had a little more creativity.
Yeah, he plays a bit safe a lot of the time when he should be looking to slip a striker in. Perhaps a game where Palmer might be more effective given the space

I don't disagree that he's a 10-15 goal a season striker.
It will of course be nearer to 10 playing this role. I bet he's spent more time on hold up play in training than usual and less on shooting! Not a role he's suited for but nobody else is so if we get a result it's OK.

Dabo needs to get a bit more width in his game here and we will beat these.

Good to see players willing to take the shot on anyway but need better interplay between the attacking players.

I just feel if we’re on top then Palmers ability on the ball outweighs Allen’s off ball ability.

Palmer scores five times as many in the same amount of Championship minutes, is a threat at set pieces, and can unlock a defence. I get he’s a luxury when we’re chasing the ball, but when we look like we can consistently have the ball in their third Id play Palmer every time.

I'd say Robins doesn't "trust" Palmer yet whereas he very much does Allen. Will Palmer ever be a Robins "favourite"? It seems unlikely tbh.

We're definitely on top, but do we have enough to win this?
