Dont see how anyone can complain at a fiver, its peanuts in the grand scheme of things. Im 5 mins walk from white st and undecided about coach or car, may try both early on and see which is easier, more comfortable\convenient.

NW has already alluded to it, so, for those who regularly use the coaches, is it indeed a case of being kept waiting by a few stragglers for the journey back? And does it happen often?

Because the club also subsidised your travel to the Ricoh?

Indeed. Lets not forget though that the bottom line is that they (whoever the blame lies with-noteably all 3 sides) are still changing £5 when THEY have moved your team out of Coventry to go and watch them play, something we all know is still wrong but they are charging you for the pleasure.

Agree but I feel it is affordable as season tickets if purchased now are cheaper so I think with transport included works out about £16/17 a game my local team Bedworth United is £10 a game. This is why I am contemplating getting two season tickets for St Andrews.

I think Boddy has been a breath of fresh air and by far the most likeable out of the clowns we've had under SISU's tenure. Think Boddy deserves a lot of credit, as does the club for really trying to connect the club and the fans back together. Hosting these events and the kit launches etc

Exactly, Boddy coming in is when things started to improve massively. Thinking outside the box with those evenings with, kid launches etc to increase revenue rather than just moaning about lack of it.

Last season my early bird season ticket was £345, it then cost me £5 every game to park.

This season my early bird season ticket is £260, it will cost me £5 every game for the coach.

There seems to be a hell of a lot of people saying it cost them nothing last year, how were they all getting to the ground? Or were people from all over Cov walking miles to the Ricoh? Probably didn't cost them anything as they were sat at home.

I'm baffled that people think travel should be free. £5 is actually below cost (EST have worked very hard to get these prices down, so hats off to them).

As an example, a father and son will have paid a total of £285 for 2 season tickets, and people think we should subsidise travel to the value of £235. No way the club can offer that, and it isn't the club's fault we're in this position. Why are people so eager to keep punishing the club?

People are eager to punish the club because they think that by withholding money (for travel, tickets etc.) they mistakenly think that they are punishing Sisu. Anyone with half a brain knows that isn't the case, but they are in the same league as NOPMers - deluded.

Anyone looked into trains yet. Fancy getting the train and a few beers by the ground but not seen any confirmation Bordesley green will be open?

Official coach is an option but always find they cut it a bit fine to enjoy a drink around the ground. Hate the queue for overpriced slop in the ground.

I find all the moaning about paying £5 for travel mental. I’m sure I speak for a whole bunch of people who don’t live in Coventry and spend far more than £5 a home game to get to and from the game. People will moan about anything to do with the football club but wont think twice about spending £5 on a pint

That's because you went to the Ricoh to spend money getting there. Unlike people who are moaning most

Dunno why they didn't offer coach travel as we drove every game and don't think it was ever offered.

However, the NOPM/Trust bus for the hill dwellers used to go to Sixfields and we were tempted a couple of times to cheekily catch it then go into the ground!!
Really which bus was that?
We drove ourselves to the hill every week think the bus was used twice.
Dont forget there were only three of us on the hill why did we need a bus.

At £5 return I suspect it is. Even a 72 seater would mean income of £360.

I’d be surprised if they break even on that, and that’s with it being full

Get the train into new street and walk it. Google says around half an hour but in reality it’s under 20 minutes. Stop at a few pubs on the way and you’ll be sound.

If they get enough take up to run multiple coaches maybe the club could run earlier coaches for those that want to get there with time in the pub pre-match.

Not sure they can-as I understand it the general rule is that you can’t arrive on a coach more than 2 hours before kick off. So 1pm for a Saturday game and 5-45pm for midweek.

I know people like that.

"It's too expensive" but will go all out on warm awful beer for a fiver, lose 50 quid in the casino and Chuck 20 quid in a fruit machine.

Context isn’t it. I may do all the above in some circumstances but still think £5 for a pint of milk is too expensive.

I don’t think £5 return is expensive at all, but sadly some will

Can't see any reply to this, anyone commenting? Wanted to know how early the coaches leave Coventry and how soon after the game do they leave to come back home?
