We scored 2 and won a couple of games ago. We don’t need league winning form. We need to replicate the first half the season. And I think we will.

    Today’s games

To be fair we’ve scored as many as or more than plenty of teams above and below us. It would be great if we’d found a striker to score 15 between now and the end of season. But Football Manager this is not.

Would have been harsh to drop Max after he scored last game. Poor management. Gyo needs a run before we can say he’s not the answer. It shows how far we’ve come though that a Swedish international on a Premier team’s books might not be good enough for us. Imagine that two years ago.

If there was a recall clause. But presumably his wages are being covered so that’s still using budget. But again, name the player you would have signed.

Who would you have signed? You can name examples based on your requirement that the player would be a proven Championship striker. Factor in we needed a LB so had to sign Reid or an alternative.

Yeah. It’s really only the Rotherham result that’s a disaster. Forest will pull away and not be involved.

Be like the old days. We’ve survival to play for and can go mental when we achieve it.

    Ostigard

Given his age and rate of development (isn’t this only his second season of men’s football?) you’d think he’s above this level. If we stay up and plan to have a push next season then maybe he’d buy in to that.

Bloody horrendous set of results at the moment. On the positive side it’s only half three 🤞🏻

My comment was in direct response to the suggestion that he didn’t change it with a view to winning. Why else would he go two up front? And the caveat with the Gyo sub is that he offers something defensively on set pieces and holds it up. He could have brought on Bapaga in the same formation yes...

Its almost like the manager foresaw them trying to get a winner by going long isn’t it. Hands were tied as to who he could bring on to give us a chance at both ends and Gyo was the sensible option really.

And went two up front. The man can’t win.

    Matty James

He is a great player and will likely have better offers than us. If we could get him it would be a real coup and a sign of intent for next season. Wouldn’t have him and Kelly in the same side though, too similar and it would make for a negative set up IMO.

Excellent first half. We may regret not taking those chances of Watford improve (they couldn’t get worse) but they really don’t look like they fancy it.

Might have gone with Gyo ahead of Max as he holds it up a bit better but would be harsh after he got his goal. Otherwise the team to be expected I think.

Might be imagining it but I’m sure I watched us turn these over 4-0 or 4-1 at HR in the prem years. That will do today.
