The best "fast" shoes i've had are the Puma Fast-R..... but i only get them if i can find them on offer. Usually have a few different brands i can trust, then buy whichever of their quick shoes are on offer, and stock up a couple of pairs. Spare room is like a store room.

Where will we finish in the Prem?

Possibly. Look at Sunderland.... In light of this critique of my opinion, i'd like to change my answer to....... 1st

    World Cup 2026

Exactly. America, Qatar, Saudi Arabia can get in the bin. FIFA don't need to "grow the game"..... aka cream as much money as possible.... they're already doing a good job of that. Just hold it in nations with a football heritage and the ability/infrastructure to host a good world cup...

    World Cup 2026

They've really fucked up by farming out the World Cup to joke countries like Qatar and USA. I really don't see the issue with rotating it around the major football nations, and then other actual football nations, in Africa for example.

    Under the arena

That was a fantastic gym, arguably the best in Coventry, and especially when considering the price. Absolute travesty when it closed down. Would be great if something similar could be opened (although would they consider it now that Pure Gym have a place on the retail park)

Anyone have any big regrets when it comes to the City?

We've now been at the Ricoh for well over half my days as a city fan.... but still Highfield Road will always be home. Just couldn't get behind being enthusiastic about a new stadium named after a photocopier..... and no matter what people say, its an off-the-shelf bowl stadium like many...

When did it begin for you?

I vaguely remember the cup final but i was only 5..... biggest memory is all the cars with blue ribbons on their aerials for what seemed like years. Started "following" City in probably the very late 80's, but my first game was Ipswich at home in Dec 92. First away game Villa early 97. Had...

The First Team That Started The Journey

If i remember correctly (which is unlikely)....... we started pretty well and were generally tipped as favourites. We had a home game against Norwich who were also up there, and had we won we'd have had a significant early season gap at the top, and i think would have kicked on to promotion...

    84 points should do it.

We're highly likely to win. But no its not guaranteed. They went a goal up at Hull..... they could go 2 up against us and we struggle to a 2-2 I think we'll win with lots to spare, but those points aren't on the board until its done.

    Championship thread 25/26!

Football fans will argue anything in their favour.... and if you can't see that some Ipswich fans might take doing the double over us as an opportunity to "score points" then you need to open your eyes. I agree that "who cares" Football fans in the main are utterly pathetic, but it rarely...

    Championship thread 25/26!

Well yes i said i don't care if Ipswich fans "pipe up"..... if we've gone up i couldn't give a hoot whether they've done the double over us or not. Or indeed whether they come up as well. You come across as rather pathetic with attempts to pick an argument with everyone (although thats not...

    Championship thread 25/26!

I don't know and don't particularly care. But thats the reason why they may well gloat. If we do the double over Villa next year and get relegated, will be exactly the same for many.

    Championship thread 25/26!

Sunderland will likely finish below Newcastle this year, but i think they'll be making noise about this season's results for a while to come.

Brilliant, well done to him. If i do a half marathon again i'd have to do a lot more continuous longer runs..... been doing big sessions (10 x 1 mile/6mins) which has built me a great engine for 5km and possibly 10km (i was amazed how easy i felt at 18min/5km pace early on today)..... but i...

    84 points should do it.

I just did that predictor.... being as pessimistic as possible, i still got us on 93 pts (beating Sheff Weds, Portsmouth, and Blackburn). But i did have Ipswich finishing on 91, and Middlesbrough on 89 (again being as pro (Ipswich/M'boro as possible)..... so 9 more pts does it for me. I had...

Ran the Forest Of Dean Trail Half Marathon today. 17 of us had submitted an Expression Of Interest for consideration for the England v40 team. Needed top 6 to qualify. Ran the first km down the road in about 3:20 and the top 6 were already pulling away.... tried to make a fist of it for a few...
