    Sustainability

What's this spat about? The way I see it is that CCFC have found a level their support deserves. The fans turn to in league 1 numbers they remain a league 1 team. In the Premier League the fans didn't (and probably couldn't due to capacity) turn up in sufficient numbers to sustain a team...

Money being spent in the Championship

In fairness, missing the reckless spending in the Championship boat might be sensible. City were fairly conservative in the Championship years yet still made significant losses every year.

    James Bailey on a free

No, he went off the boil when Robins was still here. I quite liked him but really don't think he's much or any better than what we have got.

    Mowbray went to watch Pennington

I disagree, in having those pair as left backs the team lacks width and outlets. I don't understand why Mowbray is continuing to pursue Pennington now if I'm honest. I actually hope he was up there watching somebody else.

    Portsmouth (Away) Match Thread

The Telegraph superlatives about Thomas' goal are perhaps a little exaggerated.Their goals were disappointing, particularly the one where our left back doesn't appear to have the legs to catch their player. It's only a friendly though and like somebody else has said, we're a bit behind in match...

    Luton Town (Away) Match Thread

People will be drinking all over the place. Some people at home, some in public houses and some in other licensed premises. Others will choose public transport or other public places. The lists are endless but I would guess no matter where you decide to drink, somebody else will be doing...

Football league highlights show moves to Channel 5

Lets be honest though, most footballers give very limited insight into the game, in particular those clowns Claridge and Rosenior.

Our grounds too big for us (Sky Sports)

The Ricoh attendance figures only tell half the story. The best gates in league games always include a 5-6k away support. The actual best home gates are therefore cup games: Crewe, Chelsea, Middlesbrough. Cov fans aren't fair-weather and are just waiting until the day we.....

Please stop with the 40 years without success stuff. We have won a major trophy within the last 30 years. Less than 20 other teams have done the same.

    TM's Appeal...

Sorry Cov fans but you need to grasp the following:As the protests over Sixfields pointed out, fans are the lifeblood of the club. As such without the fans support the club is nothing. SISU aren't investing (lending) the club any more money and can't really due to FFP. Therefore, to improve the...

Not sure about that, Arsenal held on to players like Graham Barrett until he was 22. They don't produce that many top class players.

    Half way through July

Historically our summer purchases have been disappointing. Certainly in the post Atkinson period where we brought in a number of players every summer, the successful ones are in the minority. Most of the best signings in recent years have been signed in season... Playing proper games probably...

Sheffield Wednesday match day ticket prices

Nailed on there is only one team in some of those categories. This is the effects of the Sky money trickle down or not. Championship clubs pay PL wages for some players yet get nothing like the PL Sky income. In my opinion, people who subscribe to Sky are killing the game.
