Banned from using the train ?

Just another thought. I guess it could be the emergency services who also co-ordanate the SAG. The line that doesn't at this moment in time meet capacity at peak momemnts will need policing to make safe, If they can't do this and an accident occurs the likelyhood of the fire and ambulance...

More News On Ricoh Train Station

I'm sure SISU will take that up in their capacity of the illegal state aid police.

Banned from using the train ?

Because, as you've just pointed out they're politicians. That's what they do. CCC don't have the monopoly on that and no, I'm not saying that makes it alright.

Banned from using the train ?

Not if they are unable to deliver the solutions to the problem. Rolling stock seems to be the issue and available man power to run it. The SAG seem to have advised that there needs to be more trains at certain times (although I don't think the report has been made public so we don't really know)...

Take a day of and actually try reading what I've posted. You clearly haven't noticed that I'm actually making the point to criticise CCC.

Banned from using the train ?

I think you are pretty much right. But the assumption is that the SAG are only giving one piece of advice/solution to solving an issue. There is always more than one way to skin a cat.

London Midland from what I can gather.

Banned from using the train ?

Whether you usually agree with me or not. I always try and make an opinion on fact and as I said the moment parties involved started saying that they were ordered to do something by an advisory group it didn't ring true with me. Assuming that the electrifying of the line does go ahead i...

Banned from using the train ?

Exactly, the same as they aren't stopping trains. Someone else is doing that. Maybe of the back of an SAG report but it has been repeatedly said that the SAG have ordered that the station is closed for an hour after games. My point is how when they have no legal powers or authority? Someone is...

No Angle. What angle do you think I have? Just stating fact instead of the assumption of truth that other posters seem to be going by. It's upto you what you want to believe but there's the link.

It wouldn't. Given that the SAG don't have the power they are being portrayed to have.

Banned from using the train ?

Why don't you read this and laugh at yourself instead. http://www.hse.gov.uk/event-safety/safety-advisory-groups.htm Paragraph 2 is very informative. "SAGs provide a forum for discussing and advising on public safety at an event. They aim to help organisers with the planning, and management...

Banned from using the train ?

You could be right, acting on the advice of the SAG. As I say the SAG has no powers and it's quite possible that they suggested more than one solution. Even if they did you'd have to say that the club took the right course of action given that the stadium is rarely ever more than a third full.

Blog post about CCFC from a Luton fan

The truth is that when we were sitting in the premier league the stat was unimportant however we now need at least two top six finishes to get back to that point so stats like this come into play. It's a hoodoo we need to break so it's going to get mentioned. It's that simple.

Banned from using the train ?

The SAG has no legal powers. It's an advisory group. It's more likely that the HSE made the decision or even the SAG suggested more than one solution. I.e. more stewards in that area. If the club had the choice of paying more steward's or closing a few row's in a one third full stadium closing...

You really shouldn't let your imagination run away with you. You've been doing that a lot lately. Nobody has implied that at all.

A heady combination of solider and a Rugby player. That explains it. As for the freckles game a couple of my cousin's that I grew up with were squaddies. I think I know that story already, yuk.

Don't think he was saying that either, just pointing out that the gap between 8th and 6th was bigger than the gap between 8th and 20th so when we finished 8th it's not like it happened on the last day of the season and we were in with a chance until the final whistle of the final game of making...
