Joe Cole & Bigi in talks about perm deals

The idea of wholesale change is wrong. If a team has had a good season and is used to getting results, why break it up on the assumption that some players aren't good enough. The gulf between L1 and the Championship is exaggerated on here at times.

    If we get promoted

Go away you boring fucker, unless you want to talk about football, which you don't, because you don't go.

    If we get promoted

We're no more with or without a stadium now than we have been for 15 years since the previous owners sold Highfield Rd. We've been homeless ever since. The situation with renting from Wasps owned ACL is basically the same as council and trust fund owned ACL. Arguably with a far better deal now.

Best City XI of All-time (Strikers)

Dublin and Keane Keane is a superb footballer, his record is immense and even at 19 he was a class above. I'm a bit loathe to put Dublin after the Luton debacle but can't deny what a talisman he was.

Butts Park Arena is new home

The viability section basically says that the demand for apartments (high-density) needs to grow to make the site viable for a residential development. Let's face it, it's been derelict for a number of years.

    Wilson or Armstrong ?

He had a reasonable level of service and a very good strike partner. He had Baker and Moussa behind him who were decent enough at this level.

    Wilson or Armstrong ?

Wilson is more powerful and stronger, though Armstrong is younger and a more clinical finisher. I'd say Armstrong probably.

Are you seriously suggesting that we give up automatic promotion hopes with 19 games remaining?

8 Points From The Last 4 Games...

The thing is you see other teams winning 5-0 and automatically assume it was as one sided as the scoreline suggests. As we know it's not always the case.

    Crewe (Away) Match Thread

600 left for pay on the gate would usually be sufficient. Why risk buying more tickets ahead with no guarantee they'll sell. If the 600 on the gate don't sell it is Crewe's loss, if bought ahead it's CCFC's.

Best City XI of All-time (CM)

Boateng's debut was a 1-0 defeat at Anfield. He looked good but really excelled in the cup win 2 weeks later I think

    Player ratings please!

RCC 8 - great saves and handled crosses well Haynes 7 - Solid enough, got forward well at times Phillips 7 - Tackled his winger very well, getting better Stokes 7 - Looked assured Ricketts 7 - Too casual at times but lovely reverse ball to Vincelot for the penalty Vincelot 8 - Dominant Fleck 8...

    Joe Cole

Clueless Kok. Cole maintains possession far more than any other player. JOB's energy is great but he came on today and gave the ball away nearly every time he got it.

Agree, he was excellent today as was Phillips.

    Crewe (Away) Match Thread

We are light years ahead when we attack them but look vulnerable at times. Armstrong looks back on it today.

Best City XI of All-time (CM)

Difficult one. Despite one and a half good seasons I thought McAllister was mediocre. On productivity per minute on the pitch you can't look past Strachan, he was a top class player. Boateng was excellent in central midfield also.
