Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

For CCC's share? I don't think so. You clearly like a conspiracy theory. Why do you think that SISU never ever placed a bid for CCC's share of ACL even after being invited to do so and AL going to London to see JS in person to hear it straight from the horses mouth? I've asked myself this many...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

What was the bid then after they were very publicly invited to make a serious offer? A rough figure will do.

How can you tell someone to fuck off who hasn't actually placed a bid? If they had we wouldn't be having this conversation, I'd be as outraged as you. Because I would then have reason to be. SISU let your argument down the minute they chose not to bid. Serious or otherwise.

It was on the market and very publicly. I saw it on TV and read about it in the newspapers. Did you miss it?

But they were able to bid on the same thing. SISU didn't bid. It's that simple.

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

You make it sound like they were selling a Volvo estate. They weren't selling in a competitive market, there aren't a dozen other arenas in the whole country with the spec of the Ricoh let alone Coventry and there aren't dozens of potential buyers lining up. No one regardless of who owned the...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

I would think that the lease covers the site as a whole not just the arena. So not really. All it means is that when the arena reaches the end of its design life the leaseholder has the option to redevelop the site. That's were the value is in the length of the lease.

Unbelievable isn't. SISU are clearly shit negotiators ;)

I had a suspicion you'd ignore the rest of the post if I put that in but I was trying to think better of you. Oh well.

PR for who? All I know is that if I was serious about buying something I'd make an offer. You can bitch all you like about not buying it but if you never but a bid in isn't that always going to be the case? If SISU had have put a bid in when invited I'd be on their side but they didn't. They...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

Then I apologise. But I ask again. What was SISU's bid? There wasn't one was there? Why wasn't there one?

No. He's saying that the debt contributed to the overall costs of doing the deal. The purchase price is the purchase price but that included taking on a substantial debt that needed to be serviced.

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

So what was the offer that SISU made in this "no longer confidential" meeting that you now acknowledged happened despite previously claiming that CCC wouldn't engage with the club? Did the other side actually claim that they wanted it to remain confidential? Any link or is this more...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

This is the same CCC who after making the announcement that they'd listen to any serious offer refused to engage with the club by sending the council leader down to London on the train to meet JS at SISU HQ to discuss their "serious" bid? Talk about writing your own history. You're not Spanish...

And a loan that isn't worth anything remember. Although I do agree with you that they still got it on the cheap it is clear (IMO) it still wasn't a price that SISU were willing to match for the reasons that you keep ignoring from FP's original post.

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

This is the one that a judge said neither party had an interest in moving forward with? Well unless the judge is a liar or doesn't understand the ruling he was making then no. It wasn't serious. I wasn't actually talking about that I was talking about the likes of you claiming that SISU would...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

Sorry. I should have said a serious bid. Clearly it didn't match the Wasps bid which is also further proof that they wouldn't have done the Wasps deal. Which is the deal I was talking about.
  18. skybluetony176

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

You'd have to ask Wasps that although I think you've hit the nail on the head as to why SISU wouldn't have took the Wasps deal for the Ricoh despite many insisting on here (without any proof) that they would have if it had been offered. Taking on the loan would have served in the best interest...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

The signs were all there that the iron was hot and now was the time to strike. ACL were suitably distressed, ACL's owners had been run through the mill and had openly said that they'd listen to any reasonable offer so it only begs the question why no reasonable offer was coming from SISU? A...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

I seem to remember it was around easter time when murmurs of something big going down with the Ricoh first started reverberating. Didn't know myself at the time what it was but with the benefit of hindsight it could only have been Wasps showing more than a passing interest.
