    Leon Clarke!

I can't see Mowbray signing him. Yes he did great for us but that was 2 years ago. He started last season well but faded (perhaps it was due to the death of his father). He's on the wrong side of 30 doesn't appear to fit the criteria that Mowbray and Venus have mentioned. I am torn really, he...

Higgs have legal clauses inserted to block CCFC and back Wasps only

It's mortgaged isn't it? Didn't somebody also say that a previous application for housing on the site (pre SISU) was turned down? Although that was in a different period prior to local councils relaxing about housing development in rural areas

    Leon Clarke!

Who's next? I bet they're gutted McSheffrey signed a contract with Doncaster. The Telegraph crystal ball has linked us with Turner, Baker and Clarke so far. They must be going through the squad lists of previous seasons

Higgs have legal clauses inserted to block CCFC and back Wasps only

They didn't announce that they were serving notice and certainly not recently. Talk about making things up as you go along. With CCFC having 'friends' like you, who needs a PR firm.

Starting to smell the coffe yet?

It is bullshit. There was never any real prospect of a deal with CCFC once Wasps were on the horizon. Jargon to appease = bullshit i.e. telling 'them' what they want to hear.

The agreement for Wasps to move here / 2 years on

The test for the security and future of CCFC / CRFC is based on considering a long term impact, not just what was happening on the day the decision was made. As such, the ensure that test was being met, the council must have considered some parameters in which Wasps could operate.

    You've answered your own question.

The agreement for Wasps to move here / 2 years on

Yeah, bland statements, absolutely no detail about location, actions required or even a timeframe. They are the epitome of bland statements.

The agreement for Wasps to move here / 2 years on

Tim Fisher made a bland statement in an interview. It wasn't a direct statement to the owners of the AHC. I want to move house from where I live currently and have made that known to my friends. It doesn't mean my house is up for sale. Coventry City Council's 3 tests were the basis on which the...

The agreement for Wasps to move here / 2 years on

Les Reid won his employment tribunal related to the CT suppressing information. There was obviously no merit in his story.

    Future of this Football club.

If only we could embrace franchises like Blaze and Wasps.

    Future of this Football club.

There's our little council boy. For a time I did advocate some form of partnership with Wasps. I don't any longer, any partnership would be CCFC paying for the crumbs from Wasps' table. Fuck that.

Higgs have legal clauses inserted to block CCFC and back Wasps only

The rent at the time was non-negotiable due to the position CCC had put ACL in. If the council were proactively managing ACL, why didn't they bail them out of the YB loan earlier to protect their position? It didn't need to be as a result of a rent strike, it should have been an action they...

Higgs have legal clauses inserted to block CCFC and back Wasps only

Maybe, I think the reality is probably more that it's just Wasps acting in their own interests to be honest, and some of their objectives and those of CCFC are mutually exclusive. The council has shown that it doesn't care about CCFC, it has got a new friend now in Wasps and is staking its own...

Higgs have legal clauses inserted to block CCFC and back Wasps only

Yes - but how do any of these facts lead to a 'connected company' picking up what's left of CCFC (i.e. the golden share)? It doesn't.

Higgs have legal clauses inserted to block CCFC and back Wasps only

How are they exposed? They pay rent to Wasps / ACL. They're at the mercy of a rent increase yes. They have no contractual relationship with the AHT. They are a ratepayer to CCC but do not have any sort of contractual relationship with them. How, knowing the above, could SISU be forced out...
