No, it wasn't a gift Tony. It was a JOINT VENTURE between the club and the council. It wasn't that the council set ACL up and thought "We'll give half to CCFC". As has been pointed out, it wasn't as if the council gave ACL free reign to do as it pleased. ACL had to pay £21m for a 50 year lease.

    Coventry Cathedral to help Mediate?

What are they mediating? Mediation implies an active dispute, to me at the minute it doesn't seem like a dispute as such, just 2 parties doing different things in their own interests...

If the AHT hadn't bought the CCFC share, CCFC would still have had to effectively pay £10.5m as a 50/50 shareholder in ACL for the lease premium (which was raised through the Yorkshire Bank loan). One way or another the club was going to pay £1.2m a year, be it as the leaseholder or sub-letting...

    Chocolate Teapot?

If it's a session on football governance, it would surely be football's regulators in front of the committee

Yes they did, I was at virtually all of them. The reason why I discount away fans is that the club shouldn't be building a stadium for the benefit of 5-6k away fans. The attendances you quote actually help mask the point that the Ricoh is far too big for the club. It should be building a...

I even highlighted HOME SUPPORT in bold, your denseness really is unbelievable. The away end at the Ricoh holds 5800 I believe. Apart from Middlesbrough, Crewe and Gillingham, for all of those other games the away end was full, ergo. Take 5800 off the overall attendance figure to calculate how...

Home fans wise, we've had 2-3 games with a home support of more than 25k or more in 11 years at the Ricoh (Crewe, Gillingham - both cheap tickets and Chelsea), maybe that Middlesbrough cup match too.

What is ambition? Building a stadium that is too big for you in the vague hope that somehow the fickle people of Coventry will fill it every week? That went well with the Ricoh when we moved there, similar seems to be happening with Wasps. I would probably just agree that 15k is on the small...

The EFL & the warning to Charlton & CCFC

After seeing CJ's pictures there, I've heard that Lionel Richie has booked in a gig there. The first place where he could actually Dance of the Ceiling.

The EFL & the warning to Charlton & CCFC

CCFC haven't been punished. What a silly post.

Yes, in fact many coexist because of housing in that clubs have developed housing to help pay for the stadium. Sometimes in the vicinity sometimes not.

How on earth did we not get promoted last season??

Yes, we played at a quicker attacking tempo early on in the season. Cole's arrival slowed us down and Maddison on his comeback started to play like Cole.

The CCS site is currently occupied by a number of shops (some owned by CCC some owned privately). Why would the council permit a football stadium there?

    Observation!

They should ground share with Brentford at their new place. Or, done the impossible (like other London clubs) and built a new stadium in London.
