That is a sore head as well Speckled Hen. I'm out of the country and got a 16 hour flight tomorrow. I'll have a few more to drown the sorrows.

    The Butts

It helps when the recipients of any PR don't cynically write it off like CCFC fans so with CCFC. I saw a facebook post the other day about CCFC being involved with the capital of culture bid for the city (which is good). Loads of brainless pricks were complaining about it and making banal comments.

    Simon Jordan Interview- Part 3.

Just read former Man City footballer Andy Morrison's biography (very good for that particular genre). He made quite clear what a narcissistic prick Jordan is from time he spent on loan at Palace.

Willis won't play right back. Why would Slade have signed Foley (assuming he's not injured). I do think Willis should be rested mind you, I don't share the commonly inflated opinion about how good he is TBH.

    The Butts

Can you explain how the council's value for money comparison between Fairfax St and the Higgs Centre worked? I read the report but it sounded like bollocks. I can't remember a public outcry for an Olympic pool on Allard Way tbf. I won't make any further comments about your father as it's...

    Simon Gilbert's Book

Yes but makes some garbled attempt to justify it but then says "if it was me I would have pressed for it to be published straight away"

    Best Coventry Central Midfielder?

Telfer was more successful in the role! Some serious rose tinted specs about McAllister, the timing of his one good season with us is the reason. Not to say he wasn't a good player on his day, he didn't impose himself on games on his own like some of the others mentioned could.

    Coventry Evening Telegraph

I don't disagree with your analysis and don't think this is at all the fault of Simon Gilbert. The internet age and social media has given rise to headlines being even more important than they ever were.

    Coventry Evening Telegraph

It's not a newspaper any longer it's a classified section which makes money based on how many clicks its idiotic 'exclusives' get.

    Signing announcements at 11am

Some interesting comments on the Norwich forum about bigger clubs hoovering up young English talent. What goes around etc.

Yes of course Thomas written off after two fleeting appearances.

    Simon Gilbert's Book

I read it in about 2 hours yesterday. 5/10 I was hoping for some insight into why things happened, I didn't get it. The book starts out reasonably well but steadily goes downhill, the last few chapters are pointless fill. Timings of events are not described at all which then doesn't help map...
