    That is the worry.

Match Thread Coventry v Portsmouth Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Aug

First half we were a bit flat, second half we were awesome, Jody looked the biz and Haynes looked like he took a big step in the right direction. Couldn't stay for extra time as I had my seven year old with me and we have an early start in the morning but it sounded good on the radio driving home.

    Own Goal ?

Hopefully they've learned the lesson from this. They can do cash turnstiles after all so just do them. Once they opened them the queues soon went down and a nice man in a wasps top at the collection window found my tickets in about thirty seconds.

Ticketmaster / Pay on the Gate

I don't have a problem with collecting them before the game and I was actually expecting to do this considering it was Friday lunchtime when I ordered them. Just expected to be told one way or the other before hand that's all. Anyway. Rant over. Looking forward to a win tonight for us and then...

Ticketmaster / Pay on the Gate

Although I definitely ordered later than I usually would at no point in the process did it say that you will need to collect these from the ticket office due to the close proximity of the game, or if you want to print off an e ticket do so by doing x,y and z, or your tickets will be posted out...

Ticketmaster / Pay on the Gate

Cheers Nick. You're not all bad ;)

Ticketmaster / Pay on the Gate

    Friday lunchtime, last week.

Ticketmaster / Pay on the Gate

Who do you call if your tickets haven't turned up for tonight's game in the post? No contact number on the booking confirmation that came by email. I'm sort of assuming that if I go to the ticket office tonight my tickets will be waiting for me as long as I produce my booking confirmation. But...

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

So if it was in the same town as Bermuda park and a CV postcode that would be alright then?

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

Bagington is across the road from the City boarders and actually falls in the borough of Rugby not Leamington and Warwick. Bermuda park isn't across the road from the city boarders by any stretch of the imagination and is Nuneaton town not Nuneaton borough.

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

Yes, I can see the difference. One is more convenient to get to than the other. I was right then. Nuneaton is OK but the town that borders it isn't. Thanks for clearing that up.

    The Budget

They do seem to have made a point of not saying where the budget falls this season in stark contrast to last season where they had top six budget tourette's and were blurting it out at every opportunity. I suspect (although I don't know) that our budget has stood still whereas others have moved...

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

So what's the difference between being in Nuneaton as apposed to being in Hinckley? If it was by the Triumph factory in Hinckley for instance it would be just across the road from the end of long shoot which is Nuneaton and be in Hinckley? It would actually be nearer to Nuneaton, which is...

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

So what is the deciding factor of your principles then? You said if it was permanent home in Hinckley or Northampton you'd be out but apparently Nuneaton is OK. For me it's not about leaving the City of Coventry (although across the road is acceptable) and not encroaching on another towns...

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

In which case people didn't follow the hedge fund that took Wasps to Coventry they follow Wasps. I'm sure equally you don't have an issue with them supporting an out of town team operating from away from their home town. Bagington is in the borough of Rugby not the town of Rugby and just the...

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

The other side of the A45 or A46 would be fine but once you cross the M6 and start heading down the A444 you're getting into grey areas and if you get as far as Bermuda Park you're in Nuneaton pure and simple. That's not a grey area. If you'd be happy to follow SISU there you really shouldn't...

What is it with some Cov fans ..

Unbelievable with Murphy really. He was a big player for us last season especially first half. His form dropped along with everyone else's. Maybe his he's didn't pick up again but I don't think its unreasonable to put that down to youth and inexperience. He's a good player and I personally hope...

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

It's common sense to have one set of principles and stick to them. Clearly yours are just more flexible than mine. I won't go to a wasps game for the same principle I wouldn't go to sixfields and the same principle I wouldn't accept CCFC's home being in another town, for the same principle that...

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

Didn't think it would be. It's the same principle. The only thing that's different is the distance. I'd never considered that distance was a factor in how solid your principles are but there you go, you learn something new everyday. You'll forgive me though if I stick to my principles.

    SISU OUT PROTEST- CHARLTON AWAY!

Probably just as likely as fans of CCFC dropping CCFC for Wasps wouldn't you think? Or even fans of CRFC dropping them for Wasps?
