That of course was with Waggot running the show. Can the same still be said since Anderson turned up? His arrival does coincide with our decline. Just saying.

Match Thread Coventry v Oldham Match Thread - Saturday 17th Sep

So a top league manager is someone who failed with Celtic in one of the easiest leagues in the world and failed at championship level with a decent budget before joining us? You're still trying to big up his credentials to polish SISU's balls even now while slating him. Talk about having your...

Indeed. Sickboy was one of the posters who would jump on you if you thought that TM was anything less a premier league manager and we should all be bowing down to SISU for delivering a messiah.

    Tony Mowbray

Wouldn't disagree with that at all Northern and it's certainly worth pointing out for balance. Good post.

    Tony Mowbray

Personally I'd give him to the end of October. That way any new manager gets to make some mark on the current squad, learn what he needs to know about them so we can go into the transfer window with some sort of a plan for strengthening based on something thought out. Preferably though TM works...

    Tony Mowbray

Mark Robins has failed everywhere he's been since leaving us. Kenny Jacket I would think would not only want a transfer fee but would also be looking for a better opportunity than us. I wouldn't complain about either arriving personally, we may get some new manager bounce but ultimately I...

    Tony Mowbray

I did try pointing out that the reason he joined a league one club was because he's failed at higher levels and he was a league one standard manager when he arrived. It wasn't the ones who are angry shouting SISU out who jumped on me, it was the ones hailing his arrival as a SISU master plan...

    Possible Takeover

Can't see anyone doing the latter. That would make our takeover more expensive than Wolves.

    Possible Takeover

That's pretty much bang on I think.

    Possible Takeover

I think that they had to write off the historical debt from before they arrived as part of the agreement with the FL to transfer the golden share. Could be wrong and happy to be corrected by I believe that the current debt is all been collated since their arrival. The historical debt was in ltd...

    Possible Takeover

I suppose that the only tea assets we have are the players valuations, Ryton and an unknown amount for the golden share and good will. That is going to be far outweighed by the historical debt. Unless the historical debt is written of it's a £1 all day long.

    Possible Takeover

I assume you mean £15M with the debt wiped clean?

    Possible Takeover

Statements like that are so ridiculous it's part of the reason no one wants to deal with them. How can anyone take them serious when they're happy to say things like that.

    You can guarantee that :)

    Sky blue or yellow?

You could argue that yellow and black is a colour we've worn in our history, all be it on an away strip. Seemed to be everyone's favourite away strip too until recently. Still wouldn't be happy about it myself though although I wouldn't be abrasive to having a yellow and black away strip...

    Sky blue or yellow?

I wouldn't be happy about changing. Not sure it would be that easy either given what happened at Hull not so long ago. Is there any posters on here who are old enough to remember the Jimmy Hill revolution first hand? If there is how was the change of colours etc. accepted back then? Was it...

    Saddest comedy sketch/scene

The writing in the Royal Family is nothing short of genius. Great sitcom. Derek was great writing also. Ricky Gervais is very good at sentimental and is evident in most things he's done on both TV and film.

500 Local Kids going to the Oldham Game

Not so much the oldest (she bailed on us for the Portsmouth game after she insisted I got her a ticket too) but certainly the youngest. I think I'll do what Nick suggested and send SBITC an email. No harm in asking is there.

500 Local Kids going to the Oldham Game

Yes, still in juniors. To my knowledge no, never been. Six years the oldest has been at school and as I get a lecture from her about what happened at school that day the minute I walk in the door (can't even take my shoe's of in peace) everyday I can't believe that she wouldn't have mentioned it...
