Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Were/are they? They were a successful hedge fund, that's the limit of their business skills as far as I can tell and haven't they recently moved to smaller offices with a less desirable post code? Not sure that's a sign of success.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

If they did sell for a derisory offer they could also claim it was derisory because of the detrimental effect that the events covered in the JR had on the value of the club as any compensation claim. Maybe it's a good indication that they don't expect to win the JR that they won't sell. Either...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

It's unlikely that they'll do it then. Which takes you back to my original point. For SISU to rescue any money out of their CCFC investment they're going to have to sell it. Which, as they can't take money generated from player sales out makes player values irrelevant with regards to what Hoff...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

And what happens to the holes in the accounts? Do they just stop paying something/someone? Do we go under transfer embargo which would surely increase the velocity of our downwards spiral? How much would CCFC be worth as a non league team?

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Which is sort of the point I'm making. Posters keep saying £2M isn't even the value of the squad as if somehow it's derisory because they could sell the players for more. I agree it's irrelevant. If SISU sell the players the funds will be used to plug holes not to keep Joy in handbag's. If they...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

OK. Answer me this then. Let's say for arguments sake that the squad is worth £10M with add ons but anything received up front is used to plug holes and then any subsequent received add ons are then used to plug holes leaving you with 0% of £10M or you sell everything now for £2M and you can...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Could. With the season ticket boycott and likely falls in attendances next season it seems highly unlikely that SISU won't have to put their hands in their pockets. Has to be equity as well doesn't it under SCMP so they'll never get it back. Fact is that player sales are actually worth more to...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

I would imagine you would know who, what, where and where if a takeover happens. In 25 years you still won't have an idea of who has actually owned us at any point during SISU's stewardship. You can see the difference I'm sure.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

You should try asking SISU for a list of everyone who's invested in CCFC under their stewardship. Let us know how you get on with that.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

That seems to depend on how you arrive at the value. What have we actually received for the sales of Wilson and Maddison? What potentially could that amount rise too? What was their true value when we sold them? It's exactly the same principle. What players do we have who are worth more than...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Well edited to come back to make a point I never made. He's apparently offered £2M up front without Ryton not with, so you're already trying to add something into the equation that isn't there. Are those players worth more than £2M? Or are they worth X amount (maybe less than £2M) upfront with...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Hoff isn't saying CCFC, or the bits he wants to buy, is worth £20m. He's saying it's worth £2M up front with add ons potentially rising up to £20M. If Callum Wilson was worth £6M with add ons why didn't Bournemouth just pay £6M up front? Nothing unusual about buying something with add ons...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Are you saying AL was wrong to go to see Joy and hear her out and that she should have just waited for SISU to put in numerous bids until AL decided it was worth her while or is this just more double standards from the king of duality.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

If they give them £2M up front and they retain something reputed to be worth circa £6M doesn't that just about cover the real debt which from my understanding is the ARVO charge, which IIRC stands at about £8.5 million including the Wonga interest rates that have been accrued.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Well if the details in the CT are correct of £2M up front, SISU keep Ryton (which is the only tangible asset) that probably explains why Les hasn't been falling all over himself on twitter calling it derisory. Seems a pretty fair deal to me. Well, for SISU anyway.

    General Election

And? Labour had an overwhelming majority at the time. The regulation was too slack when they got in (that one was down to Maggie) labours and labours alone answer was to relax them further. If the tories win the general election with an overwhelming majority are they going for a hard brexit or...

    General Election

The two are intrinsically linked though. When it feels like the country is prospering the world is rosie. All of a sudden a few immigrants aren't an issue, the payments going to the EU don't seem such a problem and there isn't an anti-establishment mentality. That prosperity was built of the...

    General Election

That was the good work of John Majors government that allowed that to happen. The fact Tony Blair and Gordon Brown failed to to build sustainable growth of that foundation is actually a major failure. Let's also not forget that it was Blair and Brown who relaxed governance of the banking sector...
