Bang on. He definiteky took him out and reacts seconds after they clash.

    Interest in McNulty

You’re not the only person to say that. I guess it’s difficult to gauge against lower level opposition but my old man, who has a Pompey season ticket, watched the game and thought we were better than most he’d seen this year...including Pompey. Thought we’d have no trouble getting into the...

    ENJOY

4 outstanding goals. You could argue that Bayliss’ took a crucial deflection but it may have gone in anyway. I’m not sure Mcnulty’s goal isn’t pick of the bunch. A great team effort, we made it look easy. Notts County can feel aggrevied - I’m sure we would - but on the balance of play over...

Match Thread Notts County v Coventry Friday 18th May

Without reading anything else on this thread...well done lads. Great display. A couple of dodgy decisions in our favour but it would’ve been a travesty had we not prevailed over the two legs. Well done city. Fuck off notts county.

It’s ok...He’s being rested for the final!

    Are you nervous

If only it were so simple. I hope you’re right!!!

    Be scared, be worried...

Ironically the night he told me that story he fell up the stairs of a night club and smashed his teeth in. True story. Don’t mess with the Covos!

    Be scared, be worried...

I’ve heard it once before. A Welsh mate of mine reckons a couple of his mates worked in cov and were calling us Covos. He went on to explain that they reckoned everyone in cov had bad teeth so Covos also became a nickname for bad teeth. Dunno if that helps?

    Tom Davis

If he’d really been ‘street wise’ he’d have trod on him on purpose and then apologised.

    Penalty Decision Replay

Fair play to him. Not for me though. Like you say, trouble seems to start with the parents/coaches at that younger age group...and then the players when they get a bit older. I remember thinking, all those years ago when I was playing junior football (shout out to Allesley Aces), that a lot of...

    I thought he did.

    Tom Davis

I don’t think it was as bad as all that but I thought he did look down in order to make sure he stood/stamped on him.

Spank em in their own back yard

I think they’ll look to defend and nick a goal/get some crosses in. Was there talk of their goal scorer being injured?

Spank em in their own back yard

Yep. If I remember correctly the first game of the season was pretty close - think they missed a good chance - until we scored. We then hit them on the break. I also seem to remember Vincenti was an outlet for us that day. Just saying...

    Observations tonight....

Are people blaming burge or just over analysing the goal? In the spirit of over analysis, my question is where was the marking for their goal? The defender (was it Davis?) just left him completely unmarked.

    Kevin Nolan

I think that can probably be said about every team’s supporters around the world.

Spank em in their own back yard

Yeah, I’m enjoying this playoff malarkey. Although that may change after Friday. I think we might as well just go for it. We can clearly create chances against them, as in the first half yesterday. I might even be tempted to give Ponticelli a run out. I too am looking forward to next season...

30k ? Long way off that

I suspect we won’t be hearing, or should I say hereing, from him again.

    Penalty Decision Replay

For a foul nowadays I’m not even sure there has to be contact...just intent or ‘dangerous’. It seems crazy to me. Having said that, there’s no way that’s a pen. Fuck ‘em. I’m enjoying this no ‘away goals’ thing too.
