I’d agree with that, in terms of being an indicator of how far we’ve come. Interesting that AS drew with Pompey last week, as I think Pompey did to us this year what AS did to us last.

I’m Not convinced that him signing a new deal means much in terms of him staying. As with Maddison I wouldn’t be at all surprised if offers come in. However, it would feel like lightening striking twice if he were to be allowed to leave in January.

My Pompey scouts (hey mum and dad!) described him as being limited as a defender. A later scouting report also detailed that Chaplin was not worth getting excited about. I think my Pompey scouts are idiots.
