I’m very worried by the drop off in midfield. I was for selling Sheaf, but no replacement and I do fear we lack play off chasing credentials. Bit of me wonders if we have been complacent with our easy start. DK might be in for a shock when we play higher quality opposition.

Yeah agreed. The drop from our main midfield three to Eccles and Allen now is worrying. We have to replace him even if with a loan.

Will always remember his performance away at Sheff W. Pretty much won it for us individually, but those have become very rare from him for sure.

If Sheaf remains fit then I think we might regret that sale, if he doesn’t and we get another CM then I think good business.

Yeah this is my only minor disagreement with the post. I feel it’s slightly mad how we dismiss a golden glove winner. At the very least, it’s suggests he wasn’t making mistakes and was consistent. Ultimately, we’ll be best placed to judge after the transfer window and, crucially, the next four games as to whether we are worse, better or the same as last season. If was a betting man, I would say we’re the same.
