Agreed this is because of clubs like Man City and Chelsea pumping 10's millions of pounds into the game season after season. There is more money involved in football now than 7-8 years ago so hence inflated price. It doesn't help that if a player is English his value is automatically tripled.

Name me a keeper that has no faults? He didn't have his best year last season but that could have been put down to number a reasons. The previous seasons he has been the best keeper in the championship imo

I have no idea what the legal issues is with a verbal agreement but if it came down to it it is the clubs word against King and the agent, all they have to say is he never agreed to stay on with the club and nobody can prove otherwise unless they had recordings of the phone conversation or something
