FA Cup Semi final - gaps at Wembley

They played the semis and Wembley in 93 and 94. The north London semi in 91 was played at Wembley I think for the right reasons but they were on neutral ground until the old Wembley was demolished in 2000 as far as I recall. Did they play semis at the millennium stadium? I can't remember

FA Cup Semi final - gaps at Wembley

Never happens with their cross city rivals though. Though I have sympathy only because I don't believe semis should be at Wembley

The funny thing is outside of the council echo chamber Wasps are still not associated with the city. Where I live most people didn't realise they played in cov let alone owned the stadium. CCFC achieved more coverage for the city with the play offs than Wasps did qualifying for Europe.

New Statement from SISU re. Council

Because they all threw their lot in with the council, even believing shite like the Wasps deal happening in 6 weeks. To now question the council is an implicit admittance that it's never been as simple as hasty hedge fund tries to bully plucky council

They release meaningless shite like "two sides of A4" and cretins lap it up. We get the politicians we deserve. Two sides of A4 would be enough as a starting point for a discussion on a long lease.

There is. The de facto position of ACL as landlord meant that if they took over Wasps' business, ACL are Wasps and Wasps are CCFC's landlord. It is just reverse of what actually happened in the end.

The council did have a massive role in choosing SISU as owners, have a look at Gilbert's book.

Why would we be any different

The liability is more than that isn't it? It's repayment of the interest and capital. The interest is what? £600k a year? Who knows what the interest will be if / when the bond is renewed.

SISU Open Letter Reply to Council

LOL, it looks that way. Funny really in his battle with Simon Gilbert, both of them present a different slant on the same story.

I agree tbh. I've said time and time again the way they set up the Arena and ACL was doomed from the start.

The engineering of Wasps ownership pre-dates the rent strike by a long while. The email from Daniel Gidney to the other members of ACL's board (including the council represenatives) about buying Wasps RFC came in March 2012 (before the rent strike). The content of the email was clearly a...

SISU Open Letter Reply to Council

SISU though we don't know when they got hold of the email do we? Massive assumptions are made that it was part of the evidence pack for JR1.

SISU Open Letter Reply to Council

Do keep up, SISU published it on the CCFC website, i.e. independent of Reid.
