He’s probably right on that though. In 50 years we’ll have rejoined the EU. We’ll probably be a nett recipient of EU as well having thrown ourselves on the rocks of Brexit and murdered our economy.

I was reading the other day that it equates to 11% of our free trade outside of the EU. So if we crash out of the EU 55% of our trade will go from free trade to WTO overnight. Something to look forward to.

A lot of the countries around us see an opportunity to pick up the pieces we drop Ireland, France and the Netherlands especially. Companies are opening EU offices in these countries to maintain an EU presence being just one very easily measured and tangible way of seeing that. Including...

There’s the best complement you’ll ever get Otis. When the biggest twat you’ll ever come across calls you a twat it can only be a double negative. So basically he’s saying you’re sound as a pound. Pre referendum obviously ;)

Knife crime was steadily falling until 2014/15 so not sure how you work out that it’s somehow Blair’s fault. He left office in 2007. Cuts of 20000 police officers under Tory austerity is the only clear link, especially in London which was hardest hit by cuts.

The second paragraph isn’t even correct is it? Wasn’t it the Eurozone monetary union and IMF that “forced” Greece to a crippling austerity program in exchange for financial help not the EU?

Project fear again No-deal Brexit ferry contract scrapped The funny thing is that it was sold as a brexit contract for a British contractor. The reason why it’s been scrapped. It’s Irish backer has pulled out. We’re really doing our best to mitigate any losses the EU may occur from brexit by...

I did and if there’s a general election tomorrow I’ll be doing the same again if by no other method of a process of elimination starting with the least palatable to the not so nearly as unpalatable. Which to be honest is the process I usually take when voting in a general election. One thing I...

You want to make a big thing of a decision that a British government is obviously going to make in the very near future. Will you accept that decision or will you think whichever sovereign government at the time of the decision deserves to be sat next to Tusk?

I never said it did. I was giving you a heads up about being cocky about Tusks policy on pensions while at the helm in Poland when the same thing happening in the UK seems almost inevitable. I’m sure you’ll be equally scathing of whichever Tory PM does it. Even our friend Andrew Neil’s...

I shouldn’t get too cocky about that. Our own public servants scheme is equally unsustainable as Poland’s was and for pretty much the same reasons. It could happen here yet and let’s face it if it does it will almost certainly be the Tories wielding the axe. Presumably given your outrage over...

I know you’re joking but I’m starting to think there’s a stealth project fear that people who keep claiming project fear are operating in stealth mode. When they keep referring to project fear they’re actually operating their own project fear by promoting that there’s a project fear. It’s a...
