    New Labour Leader

That is a fair point. Labour beats itself up over the Iraq war more than the opposition does (because perhaps they recognise they all voted for it anyway)

He's got nice hair which is about the depth of analysis the masses of centrist punditry get into

Manchester and the GM boroughs together are much bigger than the city of Birmingham population wise (2.8m vs 1.086m), not that your point doesn't have some validity though.

Hampshire outside of those places is pretty wealthy though especially towards Surrey. I worked in Guildford a few times, only place in this country where I've seen estate agents selling ski chalets!

It was only on 1 case the first time I posted that table, must have been a data issue. It seems a bit random really. The earlier 'leaders' were the Italian alp ski holiday places like you say, or looked like that. It'd be fascinating to see a retro trace of all this

Looking at the Public Health England data, Brum is really accelerating, it'll be the first UK LA area to hit 1k cases (albeit it is the biggest by population) but has 25% more cases than the next highest place). The London boroughs have plateaued somewhat now: Birmingham: 984 Hampshire: 749...

The company I work for might be getting some work out of the Manchester temporary hospital. The Manchester one is not for Covid patients though, it's for displaced patients who have made way for Covid ones. Some of my team does a lot of the capital expenditure and hospital fit out work.

Yeah, you're probably right about that. Birmingham / Black Country is a real hotspot so suspect there will be major capacity problems there already. Can't see where they'd get 240 ventilators in? Are there unused wards in that building?

The season should finish, at this rate the gap in the middle of the season will be longer than any gap between seasons. Award it on a points per game basis and be done with it.
