Yet another quote attributed to a 'Downing Street Spokesman' - who is it? Who is accountable for this?

The factions is a myth. There aren't factions, there is a Labour Party the left of which extensively campaigned for a labour gov whilst the right did the opposite, all down to ideology. The only faction is these arseholes.

He's good at rote learning. He isn't stupid of course but the reality probably is that he doesn't really care. He isn't interested in detail. This is the problem with our increasing move towards a presidential form of a Prime Minister.

Several EFL Clubs “days away from going bust”

That's not much more than £500 pw before tax, I would suggest the average is double that. Players who are paid that much will only get 80% of it anyway

Who'd have thought what the long term impact of allowing concepts like 'spin' to become normalised would have. We've now got a government that prefers media management over actual governance.

    Ideal Scenario

Would be interesting to apply PPG to every team up to the penultimate number of games, and park the finally scheduled game for each club's season to take place at a later date. This buys more time and potentially gives teams in staying up / promotion contention a potential opportunity to change...

    NUFC takeover

Part of the reason for that is that any decent manager would generally steer well away from them. I know it's been airbrushed but didn't they jump on Bobby Robson's back while he was there?

When people cheer lead austerity and getting rid of civil servants etc, this sort of thing is the result. Contrary to what the Daily Mail says, there weren't millions of people employed as 'Diversity Advisors' or 'Health and Safety Advisors', they were people performing roles that provided a...

    Running

After barely doing any running for a year or two, I've done 25km this month. Weather, quiet roads and time due to no commute all helping a lot.

It's just more horseshit from Hancock. The NHS employees alone could eat that extra capacity pretty quickly.

We went on the boat nightclub that FA cup game. It kicked off in a pub an hour after the game and I got a bottle in my head. We had a night there after Sunderland last season and it isn't all that.

I'm not sure, I don't think so necessarily. The London Nightingale is different to the others mind, in that it's for critically ill patients whereas the others aren't.

Let's hope this is true, if it is true then the Nightingale hospitals will never get anywhere near capacity if used much at all.

Yep, and we need to create provision for them to either remain in hospital or go to an intermediate place until they're no longer shedding virus. I'd suggest keeping them in hospital is probably the best idea as there appears to be the bed capacity to do so. Not just throw them out and hope!
