But it was nothing like that. There was one incident, towards the end of the night, with a relatively small amount of little twats. There were far worse incidents years ago. And the crowds have been big up until this year, Im just trying to work out if there was more to that than the football...

Did the crowd seem smaller than usual, ( I appreciate it pissed it down).

Streeting is meeting the Junior doctors tomorrow, wonder what he's going to be able to offer them given their approach to spending?

Sorry, but the overrun with the roadman brigade comment is bollocks. Yes, there was an incident, but I've occasionally seen stuff like that happening since it started. It's not good, but up until the didn't se a hint of trouble. To knock something that's beens successful on the head is crazy...

True, but I believe numbers were down Friday as well though I wasn't there.

Anyone go? I was there Saturday and Sunday and it seemed really quiet this year. Appreciate there were mitigating factors such as the football and the weather but numbers seemed really down.

No, but the amount of votes involved along with the issues with the reform candidate CDs mentioned above, could be enough to oust her

Looks like Badenoch could be in trouble. some issue relating to postal votes in her constituency. Could be a rerun.

That's fair enough. Not a Starmer fan either, (or most of the cabinet!), but I'll give them a chance because there's a lot to sort out and hope they get it right and a few on here can say I told you so because this country needs a lift.

But we don't know what Labour are going to do yet so you can't really say they're failing just yet. They've knocked Rwanda on the head, (which was an expensive flop in my opinion), but that's irrelevant, let's see what they come up with and judge them on that.

Colombian. Should endear him to a large section of our support.

I think reform of the house of Lords will come. Let's remember that a recent PM stuck his brother, a 30 year old suspected to be his daughter or half sister and the son of a KGB agent in there. Not a great example of democracy!

All that's relevant is how they perform. The tories have blown a big majority from 2019. If Labour screw up they'll do the same. That's it really. They've got an opportunity not to screw up though so it's over to them.

Exactly. I've got my opinions on how things will go, (and they're not very positive), but they've got 5 years to show they can do and I don't think even their most ardent critic expects miracles to happen straight away.

But it's irrelevant. Statmer won within in the boundaries of our electoral system. If people would prefer PR, vote for the Libs as its one of their policies, (though they didn't do too badly out of FPTP this time round). I say this as one of the disenfranchised who normally votes Labour and...

I think you're right. They've also lost a few high profile one nation tories as well.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The tories conundrum is if they go further right and Starmer does manage to deal successfully, or is perceived to be successful with immigration issues they'll be in the wrong place next election. If they revert to a centre right party, (I say revert but I'm not sure where they are now), and...
