Women says the most stupid things

Women really are strange. My wife cannot fathom out why I went out yesterday afternoon in the rain, to stand on 200 yards from the pitch which I can only see half of next to bloke who thinks he can play the drum!

'Jimmy's Hill' protests having the desired effect!

Good coverage (although if I were the pedantic type I would say that there were 130 - 140 on the hill).

Very Impressed - Poolie match report from yesterday

How is that the right idea?

'Jimmy's Hill' protests having the desired effect!

We didn't go at half time - just moved around to see the goal we were attacking in the second half.

Indeed it does ferret, indeed it does. Took a villa supporting mate to this game who thought the whole set up was great - including the atmosphere.

I think there was some kind of really good special offer on for this game which bumped up attendance. Isn't it the one where Sherringahm got sent off after about 30 seconds as a sub for trying to kill Doyle (who else?)

    Coventry V Sheffield United

Be amazed if the hill is fenced off - only hapenned once that I can recall - against Man utd in a cup game. If sisu fenced it off, then this give the impressoin that mass protest is on the cards, or at least that protests have been an issue at previous games and are growing. I agree that the...

    Negativity

Watched from "the Hill" yesterday, and from what saw this is potentially the most exciting side we have had since youngsters like Hateley, Thomson, Danny THomas etc.. Not many would choose to play us -keep the momentum going and see where this takes us.

    Coventry V Sheffield United

Still the same offence "to encroach on or in the vacinity of the field of lay" - something like that anyway. Just don't go in at all - empty seats will draw more attention. For those that do go, think about biting the bullet and missing one game. I know this is dificult as you have made your...

    In two minds

The point he was making has nothing to do with the teams performances in my view. He is thinks that in some way he is superior fan because he goes. There are a few on here who go to Sixfields who feel the need to look down on the rest of us - Why? who knows. Its devisive. I wouldn't normally...

RFC - i don't know where to start! I really hope this is just a wind up. If so - please don't. If you are serious then you may well be Norman Tebbitts lovechild.

    Protest picnic

One person booed at the first few who came out the ground - thats all. Anyway - worked very well, and as effective as possible. Good turnout from a braod mix of fans. Spoke to Michael before the game who said he had loads of grief on the forum for this. I think he has been fully vindicated. Of...

'Jimmy's Hill' protests having the desired effect!

Was on the hill today after being unsure about the effectiveness of this kind of thing. All I can is well done to all those who attended. It was a real mixture of people - all ages, walks of life (judging from the ones that I spoke to). The one thing we all had in common was our love for the...

Leamington FC v Altrincham this weekend

"Diamonds in the rough" - saw Stuart Pearce play for Wealdstone at Kettering in 1981 as a "promising 18 year old" as the programme said. Non league football can be a wonderful distraction from life as some bizarre stuff will always hapen at some stage - some real characters on the terraces...

Most are ok mate - but I understand your frustration. The last thing we need is for other clubs fans to take these halfwits too seriously, and fair play for coming onto the site in the first place. Discussing issues in an adult fashion with other fans is really what we all should be considering...

A lot of investment is going into the Waterside Enterprise zone which covers an area from Sixfields through the town centre (ish) via the River Nene. New railway station, University site, development of Sixfields and Franklins Gardens, Carlsberg extension and so on. The idea of the Enterprise...

Agree with Hobo. I hope Cardoza knows what he s doing for the sake of your club. I live in N'ton with plenty of Cobblers mates and have pointed this out to them also. There seems to be general sympathy, but still a few who are pleased that Cardoza is bringning in some funding for the club - a...

Leamington FC v Altrincham this weekend

Watched plenty of non - league footie with Kettering over the years. Doesn't mean as much as Cov, but still matters - lived there for 10 years from 9-19 (impressionable ages). Mate of mine is Leam born, but a massive Cov fan first and foremost, but still goes to watch them when he can (lived in...
