    Stadium Consultation Forum Report

Thanks Schmee Embarrassing really isn't. I don't believe that all people would be gullible to believe any of this new staaduim nonsense; just some folk hanging onto to something that sounds positive (don't mean to be patronising to anyone)

    Labo on sky NOW

Northampton Borough are funding the expansion of Sixfields (through Govt money), so no approach there.

    nuneaton say no

Unfortunately, the FL have been spineless in all this (was going to say complicit, but thought that may be a bit too far). Surely they must have been sceptical about the nw stadium stuff, and if so should be monitoring the situation. I wouldn't expect them to speak publicaly on this, but I doubt...

    nuneaton say no

Hedge funds don't build stadiums. It is all about the Ricoh and always has been. Also probably some interest in the Enterprise Zone in Northampton (which includes the SIxfields area). I don't really care if Fisher lies to us, he doesn't actually need to tell us anything - which is probably why...

    Most inspired signing ever

Huckerby, Terry Gibson, Pearce, Peake, Oggy, Sumo - can't choose between any of these. Always liked Gerry Daly, Hunt and Yorath too when growing up. I think the shout for Marsden is a great one too though as he was a class act who we should have signed. I suppose with Hutch being the best wver...

    Crawley at the weekend

We have to win this to at least stay in touch with the play off places. Follow this up with a draw at preston and gain more momentum from there.

    How difficult is it.......

Arsenal is probably the easiest ground to get to in London if travelling by train from Cov, or Northampton in my case (same difference really - oops!). Driving not too bad if you park at an outer tube station (Cockfoster, Arnos Grove, Golders Green, Stanmore etc). Work commitments kill it for...

    Sack arsenal off. . .

Due to finances I had the choice of the cup game or Notts County. Notts came out as the obvious choice. I love the FA Cup, but a run at the playoffs is far more important to me. Hopefully we will still be in contention in amonths time.

What do you prefer? Win the FA cup or get Promoted?

I am not pissed, and I was 21 in 1987 (by the way, I agree with you)

    Polls and Next Survey

Maybe neighbouring code - high CV, NN, LE, B etc (and yes, I did use to work for the Post Office, hence the postcode bore!). Might help differentiaite those who are further afield - if deemed necessay of course.

Just a Quick Poll for you

Some of the points on here seem a bit bizarre. The lads I go with (or used to) are no less or more passionate about the club than myself. I left Cov at 9 (that's age I left and not the time of day), another lad lived there til his early 20s, another is from Leam, and another heralds from...

    Arsenal Ticket Office

Just did the same with the Cov ticket office - with a similar outcome! :thinking about:

    NOPM v Arsenal

I am actually a bit annoyed with myself for opening this thread. Please stop baiting each other - dull in the extreme.

    carlisle at home

Looking at the club website for the Carlisle game, it hints that the game may be rearranged for another date. Arsenal almost certaily will be a Saturday due to their and indeed our, fixtures the folowing Tuesday.

    Earliest memories of city games

First one I remember was a midweek 1-1 draw with Derby in September 1974 (8 years old). Rodger Davies for them and Willie Carr for us. Stood on the West Terrace with the old man. Move to Northamptonshire a few weeks later, but we still went to as many games as we could depending on his work -...

    Bothroyd sacked

A bit early to be hitting the Christmas sherry mate! Happy Christmas :D

We are fans of the year!

It's and interesting point MMM, but it wuld be easy for Sisu/FL to merely state the offers on the table for certain players sold were just too good to refuse. Arguably, this could be a reason for some players singin new contract - although that would be normal practice for any lower division club.
