Match Thread West Bromwich Albion - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 21st Feb

I also think the problem is there's zero depth in the squad. Behind the Starting XI, which is probably around mid-table standard anyway, their bench is littered with injury prone has beens and academy graduates. Losing is a habit and there's no option to really change things. Doesn't help when...

Match Thread West Bromwich Albion - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 21st Feb

I'd have to agree. Judging by their last set of accounts - and the further losses anticipated in their next - they simply can't afford to be relegated. They're going to be forced into a change sooner than later if the results continue as they are. Gives us a good opportunity to exploit them...

They've got a lot worse under their new manager. 3 goals in 6 league games is some going.

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

I noticed that. You can see the sense in it as being further forward actually allows him to unlock defences with his passing or in the press have an extra man to help close down the opposition. Also, a big part of the problem with the midfield previously was the huge gaps which were left in...

Eeeerrmm it surely isn't as hitting the post doesn't count as a shot on target.....

    Boro

It's unfortunate as he hit the post but Haji's effort is another one where really he should be scoring, or at the very least getting it on target. Re. your second point you say it asks more of a player but how often does a forward tend to get that much space and freedom for a header? Not sure...

    Boro

Looking back at the highlights all he really needed to do was keep it down and direct it and it would've certainly caused Rushworth some problems. He had the space and time to do so.

    Boro

The second Whittaker header was more of a half chance to be honest. However, I included it in the mix as given the amount of space he had he should've done far, far better to keep it down. I don't really get the gripe from Boro fans. That's tactics for you. If we went toe to toe with them we...

    Boro

Yeah I have to admit I didn't think they created much of note. Whittaker had two half decent header opportunities but one was well blocked by Dasilva (would've probably caused Rushworth problems if he hadn't) and the other was when he was completely unmarked in the box and headed over the bar...

    Joel Latibeaudiere

His defensive ability has never been the real problem with Lati to be honest. He obviously isn't the best in the league by any stretch but he's fine for this level. His main issue which has often led to us conceding goals/chances has been his complete lack of athleticism.

I can. He was dreadful last night and wasteful with the chances he had.

Match Thread Southampton - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 20th Dec

From memory it actually started in November then as you say went into December. Also, it was an incredibly young side with zero depth and no real hope of recruiting well in January. Beyond the Starting XI we had next to no quality. Couple that with Armstrong's form dropping off a cliff it...

    Leicester At It Yet Again!

I mean, I'd say it's easier to budget when you actually know when you're getting paid.....

    Leicester At It Yet Again!

Seriously? Most people live paycheck to paycheck. December's payment would come today and it's been deferred to NYE. A lot of staff at LFC would've been relying on that paycheck to fund their Christmas'.

    Leicester At It Yet Again!

Exactly. The only reason Forest's appeal probably took that long is their drug baron owner probably found out who was on the appeal board and tried to kidnap their wives and kids.

Even if they do appeal it won't take long for the case to be reviewed and for a decision to be made. Pretty sure Forest's appeal only took around a month / 6 weeks. The points deduction, whatever that looks like, will be imposed this season.

Video PRESS CONFERENCE | Frank Lampard and Ephron Mason-Clark look ahead to Southampton. 🎙️

Have to agree, it's difficult conditions for a journalist to work around with the club being so tight lipped. I don't really blame her for trying to go a bit left field at times with some of her questions. Also, she's a local journalist. I'm not sure why people regularly expect David Frost to...

No financial issue....except the glaring red flags which have been fairly obvious for the best part of a year now. Yet Leicester fans keep babbling on about PSR.

    14 win countdown to promotion

I'm not really the one making a big thing of it. When several of our key players were out against Ipswich, while we created chances, we were incredibly wasteful with the opportunities we had, especially in the first half. I've already said having key players out will inevitably hurt most or not...

    Leicester At It Yet Again!

I'm aware. Monga has a conditional deal that has already been agreed and signed which means once his youth contract expires on his 17th birthday, it will automatically convert into a pro contract. So the only way they're losing him is if they're significantly compensated.
