I can't see Leicester getting anything out of tonight unless Rowett has worked miracles on their defence.

He definitely has talent in abundance but for me he still looks quite raw with plenty to learn. His decision making on the ball needs work and I do agree positionally he's a bit all over the place. Tomorrow is categorically not the game for him though.

Yeah they were terrible first half. They looked a little bit livelier after their subs came on after the break although their end product / decision making in the final third was again still dreadful, however that's par for the course and will be until they make a managerial change. I just...

Granted the aim was clearly to sit in more in the second half after we were 2 up to try and play more conservatively and stifle their attack but I wouldn't really say we controlled it if I'm honest. Although we did generally look a lot more solid as a defensive unit. We were poor with the ball...

Yeah as mentioned Birmingham was more of a tactical faux pas I didn't think the performance, certainly not from an attacking POV, was at all bad but defensively we were genuinely abysmal. Much of that was on Lampard as the set up looked wrong within the first handful of minutes and he didn't...

I'd half agree. Some of the results were largely down to poor tactics / game management rather than solely performance per say. Preston we should've had all 3 points it was ridiculous we conceded after their sending off and Southampton we categorically would've won if not for Dasilva's red...

Yeah it's two entirely different scenarios. Over the past 8 away games - 17th in the form table. Over the past 8 home games - 4th in the form table. It's clear as day where the issues have been.

Tactically it makes far more sense to play Saka than Esse in tomorrow's game.

Our home form will very much dictate our promotion chances. With 7 home games to go you'd hope we'd be able to win 4/5 of those. 7 wins and a couple of draws in total will easily see us over the line as that would require other teams to achieve a PPG of well over 2.0pts over their remaining...

I've seen a few comments about dropping Saka but we'll want him in the side as you've got Hamer and Burrows on that left hand side and MVE will need the cover. The only question mark would be Rudoni as personally I'd prefer more structure in the midfield, especially in the transition, as...

Warnock's actually a character though and always has been. Wilder has zero personality and constantly just comes across as angry and bitter, with a massive chip on his shoulder. You can tell he's as much of a prick in the dugout as he is in his personal life.

Just looking at the last 10 home games they've only lost once which was recently against Middlesbrough. It's ridiculously solid form to be fair to them. In 6 of those they scored 3 or more goals.

With who Ipswich has to left to play in particular I find it hard to believe they won't drop points between now and the end of the season. I wouldn't say the Sheff U game tomorrow night is the be all and end all if it doesn't go our way. In terms of the tougher games they have: Watford...

He's limited but given the amount of funds he has available, he can more than make it work. His style isn't really all that dissimilar to Warnock's to be honest. There's always one or two managers in this league that sets up the way and if they get it right it's pretty effective.

A lot of their issues have also been out of his control in all fairness. They're clearly suffering with a fair amount of injuries and they just don't have the depth to push through that. Most managers would struggle under similar circumstances. I think he also deserves another full window.

    Leicester At It Yet Again!

I think in their case even though they have no leg to stand on they're wanting to appeal as the ownership probably have very real fears that they could go down. It's a desperate last ditch attempt. The irony is, this just adds further noise and distraction to both players and the incumbent...

    Championship thread 25/26!

I think this is the problem. Trying to galvanise a squad, which for the most part seems indifferent at best towards the club they're playing at is an incredibly difficult dynamic to deal with and a nightmare scenario for any manager going into a new club. Rowett is more than capable of keeping...

I'd argue Leicester's owners are probably THE best case study for that.

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

Onyeka has played a reasonable amount of minutes this season when you factor in International apps. He's hardly come in completely cold like Phillips has with Sheff U. He also had a full season last season at FC Ausberg. It's two entirely different scenarios IMO.

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

It's funny as even within the first five minutes I thought to myself it was clear he'd played at a much superior level. And I don't think he'd even seen much of the ball at that point. It was just the way he moved off the ball.
